Think of a low budget, weepy, Hollywood acceptance speach with shlt dress sense and you won't be far wrong.

I think they are waiting for the rain to ease before they do the car chase scene.

    Possibly not:

I've seen/heard of a couple and a guy in the last couple of months who had been abroad, been "good" UK citizens before, returned without anywhere to live and presented themselves to 't Council as Homeless.. I think this comes as a huge surprise to many ..

The test you refer to is, IIRC, the "ordinarily resident" one.

You are possibly correct AL, but Suzy, as a caring and homeless mother with a small child, should have indeed presented herself and her child to the local authority for emergency housing rather than taking up residence in a tent.

Or popped down the road to Dad's million pound pad, and borrowed his spare room for a week or two?

These things are never as simple as they seem though.

Meanwhile, still no video and it seems to have degenerated into a lot of name calling...... I can only assume, as previously mentioned, they have taken sound legal advice along the line of Shut up and drop it.

    We'll see.

  • I'm starting to think that the first proper advice they have sought turned out to be "Christ, just shut the f*** up!".

Sounds like sound, professional advice in all the circumstances (-:

The lawyer must be looking on aghast open mouthed.

No, we're used to it. trained in the art of the poker face.

Mid case, client changes his evidence completely in cross-examination. You smile politely, and look as if you totally expected it, rather than banging your head on the desk.
