Yep, seems like the early rumours were true. Daddy was/is an experienced property-investor, as well as having experience on all the property financing side, running a sub-prime lending company.
12 March 2007But Frank Butler, founder of Mortgages PLC and a Brighton-based property investor, says: "It's more likely that house price changes will come from upward movements in interest rates, job losses and property affordability in relation to prices and incomes.0 -
There must be a journo interested in this story... the real story that is. This is precisely the sort of thing private eye likes - can see it now on 'street of shame' or 'in the city' if Butler Snr qualifies for that page.
Suzy is certainly something of a pollyfilla...0 -

It's worth a try but the Police aren't know for their consistency with regards to Housing Law. The Local Authority usually prosecute for illegal eviction but I suspect they are already aware of this case.
I would like to know if the TENANT has taken legal advice. It's frustrating only having one side of the story (from Suzy Big Mouth and the ignorant people at GMTV).0 -
I'm sure the prices of tents will sky rocket after this story. All those accidental landlords needing somewhere to stay when it goes wrong.
Anyone know a good tent manufacturer ? I'm buying shares0 -
Mortgages PLC specialise in BTL mortgages, apparently having moved from Sub Prime.
They were bought by Merril Lynch in 2004

prince of pounds I totally agree with you.
Forget the Suzy Butler living in a tent to get sympathy fiasco - she is but a diversion (possibly even a strawman).
No there is more to this than we have been led to believe, and I don't really know how far this goes and into what circles, but you can bet this is an idea borne from impatient people who want an easier route than the legal one we have currently.
i also have suspicions about the other person involved, but I shall keep quiet about that ftm
