  • I do hope you are wrong. I must say, when she was doorstepped by GMTV, she did appear quite happy to put her point accross. It was only foiled by the voiceover.

Well then let us make it clear to Carmen that she has that option. How can we encourage her if she is reading this?

  • It stinks. When you watch the video ... http://www.gm.tv/videos/?vxClipId=1441_gmtv_9417 ... (sourced from "An end to..." FB page) ... and the "reporter" speaks to Carmen...

Reporter: "Mrs Nombre? Hi, we're from GMTV. Can you explain to us why you won't let Mrs Butler back into the house?"
Carmen: "You chose to give me a tenancy agreement for 6 months. I've paid you over 6 thousand........"
Reporters Voice-over: "The squatter owes three and a half thousand pouinds in rent and Suzy believes she is waiting to be evicted so the council is forced to re-home her....."

Makes my blood boil. Even the idea that she wants the council to re-house came from Suzy.

Paid £6k, arrears of £3.5k. So, £9500 for 6 months rent? NOTHING adds up in all this.

£6000 up-front, that is the sort of tenant you want.

Suzy wanted to let for the 2 months she was in Peru, so why accept £6000.

The monthly rent was around £1000 pcm.

    The whole thing is crazy.
  • None of it adds up, and that is what is annoying people. Watch the video of the doorstepping. Is it me, or does Carmen respond, at about 1:45, with "That is a lie. I can show them a tenancy agreement ... (indistinguishable)... papers..." ?

    BTW is this her?

I wasn't sure if I should put that up - but will expect it to be deleted if it is her.

Possibly. www.pipl.com pulls up someone of her name on the electoral roll living with other people in Hove (possibly house shares) back in 2002 and 2003.

At some point I seem to recall a mention that the a GMTV staffer was a close neighbour, so presumably known to both women?

Maybe she did not appreciate how the film would be used. After all Suzie has been turning loads of time up demanding all sorts.

If all Susie's worldly goods were in the loft and she has been back repeatedly, Carmen may have assumed it was just another visit?

Some of the comments in the videos are vile.

Suzy ranting that the tenant's child is sleeping in her child's bed.
GMTV presenter saying why can't you just cut off the electricity.

    Bizarre, crazy.

What's so worrrying is nobody in the media stopped to think & really tried to protect the tenant, they were just sucked in.
