If everyone who has cared enough to get involved in this thread gave even a small amount, it would be a fantastic achievement and to me, a sign that this board is not just about talking but about doing aswell.

I, and many others, have written letters to several people on this matter in an attempt to ensure that both sides of the story are presented. I don't think it would be fair to suggest that if people did not give money then they have done nothing to help.

Sorry, that was not how I intended it to sound!

Oh dear, I keep tweaking the wording but I can't please everyone - can you just cut me a bit of slack? I'm doing my best here!:)
Pr1madonna - how about you cutting others a bit of slack?

This is the ??th time you have suggested that if people don't do as you think fit then they are "guilty" of doing nothing other than talk.

By all means post up your suggestions, but just leave off the haranguing of other readers/posters whose views/actions don't necessarily have to fit in with your own in order to qualify as a valid contribution

    I agree with you ViolaLass

The petition wording itself could be deemed to be libellous. We may individually view her actions as potentially worthy of court action on criminal charges but publicly describing somone as "criminal" when they have not been convicted (or even charged) is IMO asking for censorship.

Well I guess they have whinged enough to get it deleted.
  • Along, it would seem with several of Pr1madonna's posts.

Which ones? The ones where Pr1madonna asks for financial support for Carmen Nobles case..oh yeah..they have gone.

Haha - they think that deleting these will help erase any potential liability - it only makes people more determined to help, I've noticed.

The harder they work at trying to stifle free speech the more determined people are to see justice.

Pr1madonna probably deleted those after her efforts were not well received.

I don't think she harangued anyone, thought it was nice & polite.
People have different ways of writing things.

It's easy to read things the wrong way, cut slack both ways.

Nice to see someone has made direct contact & offering help directly which has been well received. (ps: don't read this the wrong way ! :p :rotfl: )

    Indeed they do

Yes it is and I think you have: the fact that slack should work both way was precisely my point.

If Pr1madonna wants to set up a fighting fund she has every right to do so, if she wants to personally make contact with a minor that's up to her, if she wants to spend hours trawling Jezza's personal history then she's at liberty to do so - however, others may not want to go along for those particular rides and their own actions elsewhere are not invalidated because of that.

We're almost getting into "look, I do charidee" territory here.....remind you of anyone?

Essentially, the majority of posters come onto the thread because they were/are concerned about the very public vilification, by an amateur LL, of a Tenant who was in arrears. A poster who writes relevant letters and/or merely talks about what has happened may just "educate" a couple of other people about LL & T issues along the way. That's a good thing.

    ...trawling
Some of the trawling is quite relevant as context, if not directly relevant, you don't know what nuggets it will bring up. You have to sort the wheat from the chaff.
