...Vine show apparently following a case in Ireland where the landlord barricaded the house to deny the tenant access, etc
    What's wrong with that !! rolleyes.gif

Barricade the door, change the locks, turn off gas or electric, turn up every 5 minutes, barge your way in, get media to harass tenant, remove front door, remove their possessions.

I like the way Paul Shamplina hmmed & ahhed when asked if it was legal when someone mentioned a case where the front door was removed.

According to Shamplina on Vine's show, Suzy Butler "had to sleep in a tent in about 16 different places" ....!!!
  • Another liar then. It wasn't even 16 days between when she retreived the tent and got back in the house.

He doesn't know, he doesn't care.

He knows SB was an idiot, was a novice amateur landlord who didn't have a clue.

He's just attaching his own issues to any bandwagon that is passing.

Do you notice how the new petition issues have changed from their original campaign.

I don't. I'd be surprised if anyone else did, looking at the timeline quoted earlier....

On Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show now, discussion with Paul Shamplina from Landlord Action about amateur landlords & tenants not paying rent.
Discussion with Paul Shamplina from Landlord Action starts at 1h10m.

"What happens when the landlord can't get the tenant to pay their rent, if you are the landlord how far can you go ?"

BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine, Mon 13 Sep 2010
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00tq0kj

Jeremy discusses the government's spending cuts, we talk to a leading scientist about men and women's brains, we look at tenants who don't pay their rent and finally we discuss smoking in hospitals.
  • Shamplina''s quite happy: He's had another 10-15 minutes of free advertising at our expense (BBC license fee..) for his wee company and the BBC have had another 10-15 minutes of time filled up on some programme I'd rather never bother to watch, even if bed-ridden and bored...

How much is that national advertising worth, worth a few quid.

Ms Nobre may well qualify for Legal Aid if she wishes to pursue Suzy Butler via the courts
