Round my way 53 with 27 STC
But how close have you looked 4 of the 53 are the same house with different agents only 1 of which has house STC.
Now 48 total with 20 STC. On closer inspection the 28 not STC is actually 21. The house that was 4x not subject to contact and 1x STC is still there.0 -

0 STC  ordepending on your perspective.
round my unofficial way:
35 for sale
3 STC
(I would add, this is skewed slightly by 1 commercial property, 5 shared ownership, plus 1 property which has been repossessed, yet isn't on RM. It is advertised for sale, & has had a significant number of viewings, yet no takers in approx 4 months!)
ooooooh! New thread idea. what would happen to/on RM if repo's were on there....:Dlemonjelly wrote: »Round my official way:

Most suprising was the disparity in prices. In particular, 2 houses, 100 yards away from each other, built at the same time, same plan etc, £20k difference in asking price.
Round my official way:
26 for sale
5 STC
round my unofficial way:
35 for sale

Methinks anyone posting that the market is either plummeting or rocketing is talking bool sheet.:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Yes, there's a property near me that is both for sale and to let on the same agent's board.0 -
Within 1/4 mile of me - none for sale, none under offer, one sold a few months back.
Within 1/2 mile - 29 for sale including 2 under offer. The most interesting statistic is that the most expensive property listed is almost 100 times the price of the cheapest. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I'm quite surprised to be honest, though saying that anything half way decent goes pretty quickly.
Next door was up for sale as "needs updating" and sold within 3 weeks.
I did notice when going to a friend's a couple of houses go up for sale recently and they were sold within days.

I'm still surprised but houses are still selling, the house I mentioned above as "needing updating" has new owners and very nice they are too.
Next door on the other side is for sale and hasn't sold in about 3 months - it needs updating too, on the inside not the outside which is lovely - the owners are both academics and tidying up a house to sell is outside their terms of reference.
It has a rear extension which was turned into a small self contained annex, the small kitchen and bathroom were created by utilising half of the garage - not what everyone wants I imagine.
Not a big change and it will be interesting to see what happens over the winter.181 for sale

Less for sale but the ratio of sstc to for sale is greater.
Next door still hasn't sold - no surprise there.

This ignores any that sell really quickly and don't stay on rightmove. Also ignores that sell so quickly that they don't reach rightmove.
Meaning it ignores so few as to be negligible.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
