Csarina - OH and I are also addicted to Masterchef, I have a feeling !!!!!! will win. I love Lisa but I don't think she will win becasue she gets herself in such a state. I have also really warmed to Christine.

I am keeping my own council, I'll let you know after the final tonight, I think all 3 of them were very brave to enter........I do feel that lisa may be a bag of nerves tonight, I felt sorry for Christine last night especially trying to get those desserts out on the the Orient Express.
I do have some sympathy for them having been a chef catering for various functions I know what its like trying to get excellently prepared food out in a small space and with a limited time frame. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

hiya everyone,
weather awful, thunder and lightening, then blazing sun for an hour, back to torrential rain, now its windy but really warm. Trying to dry the boys two soft toys they want to take to 'show me show me' on the line but im guessing they will be visiting the tumble dryer tomorrow.
Tea will be out of the freezer, cleaned the bathroom and hoovered all downstairs before we went to my mums and now I'm officially done in!
Take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Hi all,
Has been quite a lazyish day for me today. Had a lovely lie in and didn't get up til 10am. Managed to get a load of washing dry on the line - the weather has been quite plesant today. Have run the hoover round and sorted the animals out but that's about it really. I had some dvd's arrive from lovefilm - shelter and it's a wonderful afterlife which will be watched this weekend.
Tonights dinner will be shepherds bean bake (shepherds pie with can of baked beans thrown in for good measure) and some veg.
Lamewolf - I am a bit of a coffe addict and I like the sound of the vanilla coffee but i don't have a waitrose anywhere near me so have decided to have a nose around my local supermarkets on monday to see if i can find some!
Hope everyone had a good day!0 -
Hello! It's been a very very long time since I've posted.
Had an unexpected day off work today, so took the small boy on the train to Greenwich Park. Brought sandwiches and cold pasta for a picnic lunch but still ended up in Paul patisserie at the maritime museum and brought a chocolate macaroon.
Going to make ham and pea risotto for our tea today, and put the leftovers in the freezer for another day. OH will have the carbonara pasta bake for his supper later.
Also brought a (new!) Mooncup from Ebay with quidco cashback. Hope it works ok, and it should save me lots of money in the future. Looking forward to explaining to OH what it is. :rotfl:
Tomorrow we are off to the seaside, so I'm hoping OH will treat us to fish and chips on the front.0 -

Hello Everyone.
I am still Mrs Grumpybut I have done some work today which is good news!! The doctor has signed me off for another two weeks, which is a bit of a disappointment, but I know that I can't really go back yet, goodness, I only get out of the house once a week, and only get the stuff done that I do, because I fill my face full of painkillers! I went to Aldi Mr A and Tesco. Our Tesco is doing 2l of Freshnlo for 50p, we go through at least one of them a day, so I have stocked up enough to see me through til Thursday or Friday. Muller yoghurts are DS's favourite desserts. the vanilla and toffeee light ones, so they were 2 six packs for a £5 in Asda, which is a good price. I was livid though when I got to Mr T as they have them individually 12 for £3!! Oh well, you live and learn! I also started an Asda Christmas Card as they always have good booze offers around Christmas, and I like their clothes and things and I thought it might be worthwhile saving on it and getting the wee bit extra bonus. Will start the Tesco one too I think.
I am going to the car boot sale with my lovely sister tomorrow I think, I am just waiting for her to confirm. She seems to have calmed down a wee bit. I went to visit my other sister this morning too, but she said nothing regarding my mother except to tell me how she is when I asked. She is fine, and it appears to not be as serious as they first thought. She has broken a bone, but they are discharging her so that's good. The car appears to be a write off though, which is a shame I think they've had it less than a year. I have decided not to visit.
Hope you all have a good evening and if I am away tomorrow, that tomorrow is good too. It's DH's birthday on Sunday so I need to get some sort of gifted sorted out. He got a Sat nav a few weeks ago after months of whingeing for it, so that was an early birthday gift, but I can't let him have nothing to open!

I love mine but have yet to introduce it to a member of the opposite sex! I'll be interested to hear what OH has to say about it ...
Glad your mum seems to be OK, jackieglasgow
My day hasn't been that interesting - a trip to Mr A for cold medication, but of tidying/decluttering, bit of reading and a bit of knitting in front of the telly. I realy should get a life!Household: Laura + William-cat
