DS having tough time and very stressed....mainly because as he gets a little older it is more apparent that he has no clue of how the world works at all and he is struggling with it all:(. Cue lots of meltdowns etc and needing lots of one to one 24/7.
Hope everyone is ok and will speak soon

    Morning All,

Thanks again for all the support yesterday and for the lovely pm's. I haven't slept much and am Mrs Grumpy this morning. I have the doctor's at 11, so might spend some time out on my own afterwards.

Have a good day everyone, hugs to those in need.

    Morning All ,

Thanks for all the congrats to my SD yesterday! Flutterby I think it was - I'm not old enough to have a daughter doing A Level's, she my step-daughter. DH is 17 years older than me and I'm 11 years older than my SD1 :p Needless to say, she will be suffering a massive hangover today :rotfl: Worryingly though, 3 of her friends did really badly, and what with the limited places this year, I can't see them being able to find places.

OS wise today, have to make some more rocky road (I'm not addicted I can stop any time I want honest :o) and cook something for tea. I have a feeling it may be egg and chips as I'm not in the mood for being creative today (it's only 8:50 and my workload has already spiralled out of control )

Anyway, hope everyone is ok, hugs to all in need/want xx

    Morning all

    ((hugs)) NPM

Wet, windy and miserable here today too :(. I can't believe that on Monday I was sunning myself on the balcony, and now it's like winter. I have washing to do (thanks to the wood dust ) but can't put it out to dry and with no heating on in flat it won't dry well indoors so will leave it and pray that we get some sun before weekend is out. Or I'll need to learn how to work the tumble dryer!

Ah that explains it! I thought you were about same age as me and I'm 28 so I was about right! I have no idea why I thought that, but I guess you make assumptions about people from what they post! I've been wrong in the past though! :rotfl:

I'm working from home again today doing assignments. But I have 2 other work things I need to sort out before I get started, and may need to pop into office too so who knows what I'll get done. And I have to write a reference for someone too. I have til end of month/mid sept for the assignments so not in too much of a rush, but want them out of way before I start my PGCE mid Sept.

OS wise - I made big pot of celery soup yesterday. It felt so wintery yesterday that I wanted soup. So that will be lunch. DW is loaded and will go on after lunch. I'm going to pop to shops early evening as apparently there is a £5 off £40 Tesco spend in today's Sun. I will need to do food shop this weekend so may come in handy.

It is payday today :j. I spent one evening this week sorting through my finances and working out how much I need to put by for car tax/ins/house ins etc each month rather than pay out in lump sum when they are due. So I get to start all afresh with it this month and I am slightly excited about this (geeky I know :o).

    Have a great day all

    Morning all,

Not raining here, although it looks like it might later on, we are off out for the day, its my dad's Birthday, and the plan was to go fruit picking and then on to a beautiful country pub for lunch, we will have to see about the fruit picking though, depends on the rain, either way it will be a nice day.

I need to have a quick tidy round downstairs and maybe hoover through, before we go.

Yesterday I bought, cushion covers to match the wallpaper on ebay, the material was £30 a metre in Laure Ashley, and then I would have had to get someone to make then up for me, good old Ebay £12 for 2 cushion covers delivered :T, I also bought a new duvet cover, curtains and 2 hanging heart decoration things, I just need to collect the blinds from Argos (these were chespest) and get some pretty hooks for the back of the door them Im done.

Not sure whats for dinner tonight, will go and look at my list in a while, going to have a slice of toast for breakfast with hm damson jam :D, and some fruit salad.

    Have good days all x

Morning all..............................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one....

Its rained overnight and it looks as if we are about to get more, saves me watering the garden, although I do still have to water the containers.

Friday clean this morning, did not do the bathroom properly last week, and the kitchen could do with a good bottoming.

The new stove is to be fitted next Thursday, so by this time next week I should know how the stove is going to pan out.

I have some mince left from the mince and tatties we had for supper the other night, thinking of dicing up some carrot and potato and making cornish pasties with it, that way it will make us another meal. I am going to have to be super moneysaving over the next few months.

I had a disaster yesterday. I had made and frozen a case for a quiche, so fried off some bacon and onion, put grated cheese in the case, bacon and onion on top and poured in the egg.....to my horror the case started to leak and the side fell out of the quiche, I did bake it and it tasted ok, but it took me hours to scrub the blasted mixture off the tin.

One job I need to do today is to split my shopping list, now I buy quite a bit from Aldi I need to have a seperate list, I use a spread sheet and store it on the computer, then I can print off several at a time along with the calander for the fridge door with the months menu's on.

We had a change round in the bedroom yesterday, I did not want to have to buy a new table to go in the guest room, so moved OH's chest from the bottom of the bed to the side along the front wall, there is enough room for him to walk up the side to get into bed, so thats fine. Saved myself around £70. Whilst I was sorting out I came across a rug kit that OH started years ago, its almost finshed, so hopefully he is going to finish it and it can go in the bedroom, it matches the carpet in there.

Right offsky to drnk my second coffee and get on.................see y'all later......................

    Good Morning All,

I haven't posted for a while but always try to read and catch up

NPM big hugs, it sounds like you are struggling at the moment. My nephew has aspergers ( I don't see him a great deal as my brother is divorced from his mum) but he is 21 at the end of the month. I remember his early teens being particularly difficult for them. He still needs lots of support but has just passed his driving test and is working part time. I think every day presents challenges but he now seems to be in a place where he accepts he is 'different' (his own words) and is very positive about the future.

Back at work on Monday after a 5 week break and as usual having the usual misgivings about returning. I love being at home, love cooking and baking and hate the stress of my job. I can't afford to not work but so wish I could think of something part time from homee. Oh well maybe on day.....

A quick tidy round this morning and then need to pop into to town to PMark to return a dress. We have a glut of courgettes at the minute so tea will be something with them.

Horrible wet and windy here. DH has taken DS to work with him so very quiet. Makes a change to eat brekkie in peace

    Have a good day everyone J x

    Morning

JackieG - didn't see your post but hope you're feeling better....If you are watching Big brother Josie had some wise words a few weeks ago she said "Every time I feel upset or down about something I think about that woman who had her face ripped off by a chimpanzee and realise things could be worse" Wise words indeed ;)

Neither me nor DH has to be at work this morning so we had warned the kids that we were having a lie in and I didn't get out of bed until 9:30 (although I was awake from my alarm going off at seven it was nice not having to get out of bed :D) DH is still there.

Its his eldest DD's 13th today (she lives with her mum) so we're off to take cards and cash down and visit FIL to set up his surround sound. Also have a couple of MS jobs to fit in.

Had a job at L@keland yesterday so picked up an easio yoghurt maker so shall be having a bash with that over the weekend. Also called in Mr A's last night at the right time and the independent butcher in there was reducing meat and I got a big pack for £2.99 with sausages, burgers, ribs and steak which I will do a mixed grill with for dinner tonight. Also got two extra packs of ribs so I'm going to throw them in the SC before we go out.

Its persisting down here too this morning

    Enjoy your days....and where's MSD??? she's such a tease!!
