Hi FB,
It's hardly worth the MPC meeting these days! These meetings must take all of a couple of minutes.
Cheers,

Quick bit of housekeeping here - not enough hours in the day
Post #1 updated with December dates - next MPC meet is Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Tilly MFW in 6 YRS finally added in - sorry Tilly and a few others scrubbed out.
This article from This is Money (TiM), which gets updated fairly regularly is now suggesting we're potentially not in for a base rate rise unti mid-2015 (May):

and with the fairly flat economic figures out lately, I suspect it's a 9:0 for a hold in rates this coming Thursday.

Hi FB, that makes for some interesting reading. I scared myself rigid earlier today by wandering over to a discussion thread about mortgage rates and M Kings opinion that it would rise quickly due to Euro. I am afraid I ran away from the thread and had to lie down in a darkened room. I am sure many of us are keeping everything crossed for low rates for the next few years, although this does impact the savers.

Thanks for showing support ultrarunner.
Now added. I'll get graph re-generated and uploaded to photobucket tomorrow, as I'm turning in shortly.

Months ago I used to get so excited on Base Rate day and watch the news - now, unless you tell me, I completely forget it's going to happen.....
One of these day's it might be a nasty shock0
