Minutes from the MPC meeting earlier in September out today. Haven't read yet, but scanned the summary presented by BBC and TiM sites:
BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14999494
TiM: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/news/article-2039953/Bank-England-mulls-fresh-round-quantitative-easing.html
From BBC "The MPC's discussions included reconsidering its decision not to cut rates below 0.5%".
Rate cut :eek::eek::eek:
never thought that was on the cards!
Is the economy really that bad? Discussions for further quantitative easing (QE) too.

A rate cut? My goodness.
I caught on the news last night that they think there is a good chance of another recession, but a rate cut? Surely it can't do much good cutting it lower now? It would be nice for us, but leave anyone relying on savings even more hard up.0 -
I'll take a long shot at this and say......
August 2013 !! Probably up by 0.25% to 0.75%.
Thats if they haven't decreased the Base Rate to 0.25% due to the Eurozone issues !!

@ shadybrady / runninglea - I'll get you added in tonight. Sorry for the delay.
As for the decision tomorrow - I'm fairly confident of a hold.
Economy not doing particularly well:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15178959
and a quarter or half percent increase right now isn't going to do much to help.

This seems to be getting less attention these days, is this because people dont think it will rise anytime soon or are people bored about hearing about the BoE rate!?0

Ultimately, I guess it's my fault. I've not been giving this challenge much love and attention lately. Just noticed that I've not altered the November rate decision date, which is 10th November - just altered.
I have, however been getting my own house in order and once I'm a little more organised, I'll have more time to run challenges such as this one.
With the economy slowing further, I very much suspect we will get another "hold" next week.

Drum roll please...
Finally managed to get shadybrady and runninglea added to post #1. Update of graphs to follow.
While I was there, I did a little house keeping and coloured the people who we have lost from this little challenge in red.
Currently got 13 entrants and may loose hillcats and Intoodeep this week as the MPC decision is released on Thursday 10th.
