Thanks
I have decided to give amazon till monday. If I do not get a reply I will be taking this further with my bank.
I would love to get compensation out of this though. Would cost them a bit and would make them never want to do it to another customer!0 -
Just got off the phone with my bank. They are saying I have to write a letter to them, telling that what I bought and when. They will then look into it.
I just though natwest would be willing to do it over the phone! I now have to write a letter and wait. Load of crap...
FYI, amazon have not emailed me or even made contact with me.0 -

Bankers, any result with your items or reimbursment?
I ordered a book costing £40 last Thursday using Amazon Prime which I signed for the free months trial. This book was despatched that afternoon and was sent to me using RM supposedly to arrive by 1pm the next day, so next day I waited in. Nothing arrived. Saturday same again. So I sent amazon an email bringing this to their attention and received a prompt reply apologising for any inconvienience and asking me to wait until September 13th before they will pursue the matter. It is Monday evening now and nothing. I know it hasnt been too long too wait but I just hope its not been left on my doorstep or dropped off at one of my neighbours ,both of which are not to be trusted. I know £40 might not be a lot of money to some but I cant afford to be handing out money for nothing just to line Amazon's pocket.
I know it hasnt been too long too wait but I just felt like complainingShocking to hear they closed your account though, that is criminal, hope you got it sorted.

I ordered a load of stuff of them, I used prime delivery.
They sent everything (worth over £400) VIA royal mail. (1st class)
I only got 3 things, and the best thing is the post man left them outside of my house till I came home and found them.
Now... They told me to wait 14 days. And I did!
I can now no longer log into my Amazon account, I emailed them over 2 days ago asking for a refund.
Legally, can I ask for any compensation? As this is not on. I have a funny feeling that they have closed my account and are pulling a fast one. I paid with my Visa Debit if that's any help.
The funniest thing is, they sent 2 dvd's by city link yesterday and I got them today!
Oh amazon have gone down hill.
I never had any issues with amazon. Fast delivery items come fast and post man never leaves them outside:A0 -
Let me tell you about my experience with Amazon's terrible service.
I placed an order for 9 Blurays because they were cheap from the Amazon marketplace which were fulfilled by Amazon (or so i thought )
Took them 48 hours to deliver via HDNL , I quickly opened the box to see a load of bubblewrap ( which i immediently had a bad feeling about ) and to my shock horror found just 1 Bluray.
I quickly emailed them to say that i was told they were all to be sent together and was quickly refunded the amount of the missing blurays.
This quickly put me off ever ordering from the Marketplace again but to top it all off i received an email from a James Brazil who told me that my account had been closed.
I was shocked t say the very least and after searching the internet for more folks like me which had his happen to i simply refuse to ever shop with them again.0 -
last time i ordered from amazon they left the package outside my door, we were in allday and they made no attempt to ring the bell , they simply left a note saying that the said parcel was in the porch. we live near a train station so the street can be quite busy, it seems a miricle that no one nicked it
i wont be buying from amazon again0 -

Given that Amazon don't do the deliveries, you're likely to get the same problem from whoever you order from if they use the same delivery company.
IE Amazon from my experience use a mix of
RM - both normal and SD
Parcel Force
City Link proper
HDNL
And DHL (for collections?)
Depending on size and value of the package.
So depending on who left the parcel you're potentially going to have the same problem with virtually anything you buy online as all the delivery companies are widely used.
In such a case I'd definitely complain to Amazon to let them know their delivery company is playing up in your area*, but I wouldn't let it put me of using a particular retailer just because of the actions of a delivery driver.
*Most vary massively depending on which depot and driver you get.0 -

And Yodel which is the new name for DHL and HDNL but Amazon only seem to use the Yodel name when they have sent it through DHL at Home. They only started using them in the past couple of months it seems.0
