I had a free trial with Prime recently and some parcels came via Citylink and some came via Royal mail. The Citylink ones arrived on time and the Royal Mail ones didn't. They turned up anytime up to 4 days after ordering. I decided that if Amazon were going to use RM for Prime deliveries then I wouldn't bother signing up when the trial ends. If I want stuff to just turn up randomly I can just use the free delivery service.

If they'd asked me why I wasn't continuing with the paid Prime service I would've told them but they don't seem bothered.

surely if the post were delivered to you all 14 items then your grip is with Royal mail for leaving the parcels outside your house, not Amazon. As it would look like some one nicked them from outside your home.

I have never had issues with RM. But I have complained a hell of a lot.

MrsBartolozzi, I will be ringing up when i'm free. This is NOT the service I expected from amazon. They have really let me down. Thanks for the advice, but i have even done the lost password process/change email address without any luck. Looks like a account closure. The best thing is I do not have invoices/order numbers so I will not be able to sort anything in the future.

custardy, they sent everything 1st class. The only way i found out I had 14 parcels was because I asked my postie to find out.

Takoda, Lol they did the same with me but everything they sent with royal mail came the same day.

I have just looked at the old emails from them and they are trying to blame ME for choosing RM! :rotfl:I used one day as it was quicker.

I feel like going through my bank and doing chargebacks. I cba dealing with a company that is totally ignoring me.

Just to test this out again, one of my work collegues emailed right now and they replied within 10 minutes!

The issue is that OP paid an additional £49 for prime delivery and didn't get it. Amazon sent the items via Royal Mail rather than courier, and they weren't even sent recorded. When you pay so much for delivery, you expect better than Royal Fail dumping your items right in front of your door. And of course it doesn't help that Amazon seem to be ignoring OP's complaint rather than admitting some responsibility. It is partly the postie's fault for not even thinking to hide the parcels, or better, putting a note through the door for the OP to collect their parcels, but if Amazon had sent the goods properly it would never have happened.

I'm really sorry OP but it does look likely they got nicked by an opportunist :(

Can you try using a different email address, and assuming you have the option to do so, add a return receipt so you have proof they opened your email and ignored it?

There's no harm in trying a charge back- as Amazon are being unhelpful it may be your only way of getting your money back.

Will try that but it seems odd that they did reply to her and not me.

Looks like I will have too. I might push for compensation and full access to my account as I did buy a treadmill off them that is starting to go hyper. I did not keep the invoice (Stupid me!) always thought I would be able to print one off amazon should anything happen.

Have you checked any hedges, garden gates and unlocked sheds to see if they have been placed there?

It sounds weird but I have known people find the parcels placed in the shed in the back garden, dropped over the garden gate or even the garage door opened and the parcels put in there for "safety". One even has a standing arrangement with their postman to hide the parcels in the garden hedge so they can't be seen.

Also check with the next door neighbour in case they have been left there.

My postman has a bad habit of leaving large post on the mat outside the door, luckily our front porch isn't visible from the road so we haven't had a problem yet.

Amazon shouldn't be locking you out and should be allowing you to get delivery reference numbers to ensure you can track what is happening but its possibly one of the above.

I found 3 in front of my door. Rang the depot, asked neighbours (They are the type to come knock on your door when your home and give the parcel). Have not got a big front garden and the postie would not have access to my back garden unless he can fly over houses (Maybe the queen give's posties powers, after all they are royal mail).

So yea, did everything waited. Took 2 days off work after the 3 I did get.

It's not like I did not try. I just don't understand why amazon are ignoring me. I still can't get over it. Is this the same amazon that would send me emails within 10 minutes.

I have sent one final email, asking for a refund + £50 compensation and refund on the prime membership. oh and invoices again.
  • Oh I also told them to check the tracking for the DVD's. The delivery guy at city link just posted the parcel through. Which I was very grateful for! (I was home though! Plan the deliveries on day's off work.) If I was a con artist I could have claimed I did not get them.
  • Rang amazon and they took my information and put me on hold. Then 5 minutes later the phone line went dead.

I think I should wake up. This feels like a dream!
