I have never had issues with RM. But I have complained a hell of a lot.

MrsBartolozzi, I will be ringing up when i'm free. This is NOT the service I expected from amazon. They have really let me down. Thanks for the advice, but i have even done the lost password process/change email address without any luck. Looks like a account closure. The best thing is I do not have invoices/order numbers so I will not be able to sort anything in the future.

custardy, they sent everything 1st class. The only way i found out I had 14 parcels was because I asked my postie to find out.

Takoda, Lol they did the same with me but everything they sent with royal mail came the same day.

I have just looked at the old emails from them and they are trying to blame ME for choosing RM! :rotfl:I used one day as it was quicker.

I feel like going through my bank and doing chargebacks. I cba dealing with a company that is totally ignoring me.

Just to test this out again, one of my work collegues emailed right now and they replied within 10 minutes!

well Amazon failed you right there
all prime items should be sent via special delivery
so ask them where the tracking numbers are for the premium service you paid for

The issue is that OP paid an additional £49 for prime delivery and didn't get it. Amazon sent the items via Royal Mail rather than courier, and they weren't even sent recorded. When you pay so much for delivery, you expect better than Royal Fail dumping your items right in front of your door. And of course it doesn't help that Amazon seem to be ignoring OP's complaint rather than admitting some responsibility. It is partly the postie's fault for not even thinking to hide the parcels, or better, putting a note through the door for the OP to collect their parcels, but if Amazon had sent the goods properly it would never have happened.

I'm really sorry OP but it does look likely they got nicked by an opportunist :(

    prime isnt a courier service
many items are sent via RM but they should all be special delivery

Oh I also told them to check the tracking for the DVD's. The delivery guy at city link just posted the parcel through. Which I was very grateful for! (I was home though! Plan the deliveries on day's off work.) If I was a con artist I could have claimed I did not get them.

that depends on the citylink/Amazon contract
they maybe instructed to deliver if possible

They never sent the items by Special.

Here is the wording in the last email they ever sent me. (Over 5 days ago)

"As stated in previous correspondence, we appreciate the time you have taken to bring this to our attention. Unfortunately there can sometimes be unforeseen delays and as this parcel was not sent via a trackable method, I would in this case ask that you kindly wait until 18th August. This is the maximum time that you will be asked to wait, and your parcel may still be delivered before this date."

i have amazon prime membership for a few years now, many times i have complained that they sent something using royal mail instead of courier and it arrived late. However, i am very suprised they did that to your account, any time i email them i get a reply within 24hrs latest and resolving the issue.

Are you sure your account doesnt have any other credits on it from history or disputes?

only thing i can suggest is you create another account and email them from that again referring to your other account login and the order numbers that you have on the email confirmations. I find the phone service useless going through to the phillipines or wherever and its always worked for me to email rather than faff around on the phone. Be polite in the email, dont slag them off....

if they used royal mail untracked, which they do for me a lot, even on orders over £50, then that is THEIR issue as they EMPLOY THE CARRIER OF THEIR CHOICE so not a contract between you and royal mail but rather amazon and royal mail

    hang in there

    Hi Sunil,

Nope no disputes at all. I have always got my amazon orders, been using amazon for years! Although they refunded me for 2 of the 14 order's early as they were birthday presents. They refunded them no problemo.

I can no longer log-in, so might just sign up again. Like you suggested :)

I no longer have the email confirmations. Never thought this would happen.

I have always been polite. Never slagged them off.

Thanks for the help guys :) I am going to ring natwest and try and see if I can do a chargeback.

As someone who has used amazon as both a buyer and seller for years they've always seemed just about the most efficient company around. But I haven't used the 'prime membership' thing.

I don't understand why RM dropped the parcels off and didn't get a signature - I thought you had that with Prime and also a tracking code on the parcels. Check with royal mail if they were signed for.

I know that amazon can be difficult to contact if you haver a problem, but closing your account is shocking I have never heard of that! Do you still have the emails they sent confirming dispatch - they will have the order numbers on them and you could try emailing Amazon again through "contact us". Amazon do make you wait until about 2 weeks after the final date on the range of delivery dates before they will consider a complaint/refund .

You could phone your local Trading standards/consumer shop for advice as online buying is covered by all the same laws as buying in a shop on through a mail catalogue. You could also contact your bank - credit cards can protect you, but some debit cards also have consumer insurance in place now. In the past I have found the Credit card company unhelpful - I had a £700 fridge that was never delivered but charged for, They told me it was up to me to sort it out with the company, who continually cut me off on the phone when transferring me. I talked to my local consumer advice line and they told me it was the credit cards responsibility to sort it out and told me the relevant acts etc to quote when I wrote to them. The credit card firm on receipt onf the letter refunded me.

I have to say that good old letter writing has proved more effective for me recently that phoning or emailing about problems with utilities etc.

Good luck! Shocked by Amazon - I spend so much money with them too and not had problems regarding refunds etc, but have noticed deliveries are taking longer.

Seriously speaking, I was just like you. But one bad experiance and they are no longer efficient.

I think they closed my account as they think I am pulling a fast one, saying 14 odd parcels have not turned up!

No longer have the dispatch emails. :( otherwise I would be able to do something.

I waited the full 14 days. I emailed on the 15th. That's when my account was closed and I did not get a reply or refund .

    Does anyone know amazon.co.uk address?
