LOL, no worries, sometimes it needs an extra pair of eyes.
Also worth checking out AGA retailers in the area because they will probably service as well.
I know what you mean about paying someone to travel - but even if you had to pay someone £100 to travel it would still be a huge saving at £35 an hour. I think he is taking the mick at £100 an hour myself. At the Ideal Home Ex. they had the big AGA's for £1000 as we was looking at them - I refuse to believe that you have to pay someone £700 to fix yours when you can buy one new for £1000 and get a 15 year guarantee with it. That is ridiculous.
No idea what kind of Aga were you looking at for £1k...
But this is Rayburn and what is broken is not the actual oven. Our Rayburn heats the whole house (all the radiators) and the water tank. It is the pump that pumps the hot water around the house.
Yes I realise that, that is why I came on here to find out how much other people pay. To see whether he is charging over the odds. Though there will be probably some other servicing parts required then the one piece of spare part etc so not sure he actually comes £100 per hour. But still pretty expensive. Need to call the other people.
