Morning all,
Have to admit I've just skidded in to bragSD1 got her A Level results, got a B and 2 C's and still got into the Uni she chose!! :j:j:j Just now has to choose whether she's going to defer or not - lots of changes at home in the last couple of months so she's not sure she wants to move away from home.
Good luck to other A Levellers :T
Hope everyone is ok - I'm stupidly busy at work (I might even change my username to that ) - hugs in abundance xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Candygirl - have a great holiday. I want a holiday, but the closest I've got now is a weekend in Leeds in November!
Taplady - glad the dentist went well.
Lowesy - congrats and well done to your SD!
Lucylollipop - sounds like a good deal to me!

Sunshine - hello and welcome, hope you like it here.
Well I just popped in to brag about my deal yesterday. Doubled a Clubcard voucher as I wanted a hand blender, and ordered that and a roasting tin that was half price in the sale as it seemed a good one, vitreous enamel with a rack. After using my doubled to £10 voucher, the lot cost me... wait for it... 18p. :j
Would any of you think me mad for buying bits and bobs of 'house things' now if I see them on a good deal or really like them, or will use them anyway, so that when I eventually get my own place I don't have to go and buy 1000000000 things at once?0 -
Well, as its the day for bragging....
I fixed my tumble dryer!! I looked it up on the net as I couldn't find the reset switch, and took the back cover off (after changing the fuse again to make doubly sure), cleaned out the condenser unit at the bottom, which I hadn't touched since Christmas:o (it says once a month on it!), and got OH's power tools out. Took the cover off and couldn't find the thermostat, so had a nother wee look on the net, found a video tutorial here, although it wasn't the same make or model, managed somehow to find them, wrote down the part numbers in case the reset never worked. Reset it, and lo and behold, one working TD!!! I am so pleased with myself, especially as it would have been £80 to get someone to do it, as I had forgotten to put it on my Homecare plan with BritishGas!!
Well done to SD, Lowesy, I would recommend a year out, I did mine mid Uni and it was hard to get back into the swing of things afterwards!

Yay for Jackie! Who needs to phone up men with spanners to come round?! :j0

:rotfl: I think my big head might get wedged in the door when I'm trying to go pick up the boys from school! I'll need to phone and tell them to walk home :rotfl:It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
