    Morning all,

Looks like it might brighten up here later on, I have a load in the wm, which I will get on the line today.

I was awake at 6.15 this morning, thinking of my friend who's op it is today, hopefully she will have gone down by now, and they will not keep her waiting all morning, I did sit up in bed with a cuppa and read my book, so nice start to the day.

I have taken some bananas (squishy ones) from the freezer, and will make my dad a banana loaf in a while, its his birthday tomorrow, and he loves a cake.

Dinner tonight will be gammon for OH and I, dd will have a veggie option, they will have chips with theirs, and I will either have salad or veg, I stopped low carbing on saturday, and have been low fatting instead, still watching the carbs a bit, and have lost another 2lb :D, thats 16lb so far, I have 3lb to go before the wii says I am my ideal weight, but I would like to get down a tiny bit more than that.

This morning I will make my cake, and have a tidy through, once dd is up, I would like to have a walk to pick some blackberries I spotted the other day, its very early for them here, so i think they may be a cultivated one, I also have my eye on an apple tree so may have a few of them :D

I am going to have a look on Ebay this morning, to get bits to accessorise the spare room, I have seen some cushions to match my wallpaper, and I need voile curtains and some blinds, I love the little finishing bits.

Taplady, good luck at the dentist xx

Sistercas good luck with Physio xx

    Have good days all xx

Morning all...............................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

A bright start to the day, this morning we are concreting in the new clothes line pole, we got some quick setting cement from B & Q yesterday. I overspent, need to keep out of that shop. People keep aying that they have rung the bell and we cannot hear it, so I bought a plug in wirefree bell yesterday, it has two monitors, so one I can carry about with me, so if I am in the sewing room, bedroom of kitchen I can hear it.

I want to change round my sewing room, so once we have finished putting the clothes post in I am going to tackle the sewing room, clean the window cill which is covered in dust and have a general clean up.

OH was ok yesterday, heres hoping for today!!

The harvest was going on late last night and the tractor and trailer have just gone out to bring the bales back into the yard barn.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning All.

Rain here, but it looks promising (that was the kiss of death wasn't it?), I have loads of washing to get dried, too - my TD is not working! Will need to phone someone out to it, I've had a poke about, changed the fuse etc., but there is no joy :(

I have just stuffed myself full of BranFlakes, they are so delicious. Plan for today is to see to the kitchen cupboards they are looking a bit scruffy again, I could do with some new/additional storage, so I think a trip to Ikea may be needed soon. Probably next Friday though. I also need to go up to Boots today to pick up a couple of things I got in their sale, some Christmas gifts and hot water bottles and a shaver for DS1, the one he had, he didn't manage very well with, so this one is a bit smaller, and the bigger one can be kept for when he's a bit bigger.

Beemuzed I hope your DS is doing better today, and you are feeling OK too. X

Redruby, thinking positive thoughts for your friend.

    Take Care all.

    Morning all,

Hope everyone's OK and gets some sunshine today!

Taplady - hope the dentist goes OK and isn't too expensive. I don't know about you, but I always resent spending money on such mundane things.

I'm a bit of a grump this morning after another night of not sleeping well. :mad:I just wish this baby would hurry up and arrive! We have a midwife appointment this morning to discuss whether to have the baby in the birth centre or consultant unit, so I expect that has been preying on my mind.

I also had thoughts of the parents visiting once she is born whirring round my mind last night. I think that the MIL will be thinking about 'who holds the baby first' when we get home from hospital, and I can just imagine the mutterings if we don't invite them to visit at exactly the same time as my parents . Is there anything wrong with wanting my mum there before the outlaws? Its jsut that things are easier with my own mum than OH's. Family politics eh? :(

    Anyway, enough of my moaning.

OS wise today, I'm not sure I'll get much done as I'm not feeling well. We've got some fresh tortellini for tea, and i might make a cake if I perk up a bit.

We've got to trawl over to cheshire tonight for my best friend's wedding rehersal, as I am bridesmaid for her on saturday, so something quick and easy for tea was essential.

Hope everyone has a good day,

    Ali xx

  • Hello everyone,
I haven't posted on the os board for months and months but i do pop in to read everyday and though I would start to post again.

Taplady - I had the same thing happen to me two weeks ago and the filling in question was only 12 months old too. Still had to pay the full £90 to have it replaced though. I am such a scardey cat at the dentist though and was so relieved to have got it fixed that the money didn't bother me when I paid it but I was a bit miffed afterwards though.

Well DH has a day off today as he has a hospital appointment. He has really high blood pressure - at first they thought it was a tumour on his adrenal gland but a CT scan didn't show anything up so it's back to the specialist today to see what happens next.

Have been buying bits and bobs for christmas the last couple of weeks so later today I will be getting everything out and listing what I already have and what still needs to be got.
Dinner will either be a sausage casserole or gammon, egg and chips depends which I feel like cooking later!
Well better get moving, have a great day everyone!

Falady, have a {{{hug}}} you sound totally stressed. I just wanted to say, regarding the baby, that in the grand scheme of things it won't matter who holds him/her first, how does your husband feel about it? Let him deal with his mother, if it makes your life easier.

  • Good morning, good morning!

We've sunshine and showers here in Glasgow and, at times, it's doing both at once!

I'm still feeling quite lousy and so tired so it's another day of taking it easy. The novelty of this has worn off so hopefully I'll be better soon.

Chilli is in the SC, DW is on, WM is on, cats are dealt with and I've emailed a friend to excuse myself from a night out tomorrow. My head's full of cotton wool so I don't think reading's an option for today. I shall knit and watch rubbish TV instead!

Hope everyone has a good day - and positive thoughts to all those involved in A Level results today ...

  • Morning  Mind if I join in?
Been reading the daily for ages but have never posted before - feel like I know some of you personally! Thought it about time I stopped lurking and started posting :D
I work full time and live with my partner, two teenage step 'kids' (or should I say young adults!) and we have a one year old pooch (with waaay to much energy ).
OS for today - Up early as usual to walk dog - in a vain attempt to tire her out for more than 5 minutes - never works.
Pegged some washing out on the line and set slow cooker away with chicken supreme for tea - It's delish & very easy: 2 chicken breasts, 2 tins condensed mushroom soup and some mushrooms (which I like to fry in some garlic butter 1st) very tasty.

Hope you all have good days xx
