  • Home made jam spread thickly on freshly baked bread, yummy!!

I think I may have made a big mistake, I've told my OH there are no budgets etc for when he comes to buy a car. Yes I may live to regret this, but we shall see!

I was looking at one recently, a few miles away. An old school friend suggested it to me. Trouble is, I dont live in their area now, so not sure if I can use it. Our local one doesnt seem half as good

Well it's worth a go, shove a picture on with a price and see what happens - if you get no takers then you've only lost 10 minutes of your time. :D

Lou - Does you grandad have anyone go in to help? Must be hard to see him giving up like that.

Take the soverign into a local jewelers. I had one my nan gave me (actually it was a half soverign with mount and chain) and I got the going rate without having to send it off etc. They will pay per oz rate for mount and chain and the rate is pretty standard for the sovereign :)

    afternoon all

    am totally shattered....
Have had a lovely day with B, been to the theatre to see the gruffalo (which was quite dissapointing) now waiting for my ma, brother and his wife to be to arrive for birthday tea. Need to pack up some more boxes and really get ready for the last push decorating etc before R arrives home on saturday :) can't wait!

He has carers that go in to give him his medication twice a day but he wont accept any other help at all.......we have had a full social service assessment and he was adimant that he is managing OK.

Actually, my Mum is supposed to be doing his washing so I dont actually know what is going on there :o

I also found his grill rack in the microwave the other day:eek: he eats ready meals so I usually try to time my visit around lunch time so I can check that he is actually managing to heat it up properly, seems to be OK with them at the moment.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I'll have a look at it later. I always look at my stuff and assume no one would want to buy it

I think I'll take it tomorrow. It was my 18th present from my mum but I'd get far more use and pleasure out of being able to take the kids away than wearing a necklace.
