What a nightmare its gonna be Del!!0 -
as I understand it they were just buying allocations on 3rd party operator flights - mainly Viking. So the flights will still be operating, just with lots of empty seats?
What a nightmare - I'm actually glad I'm booked with Ryanair for my next trip, with all these failures and Easyjet cancelling flights all over the place, BA strikes etc - they seem to be the only reliable carrier!0 -
According to the BBC the CAA believes they had over 60,000 passengers booked to travel in SeptemberI am a Travel Agent

Interesting, just tried to book insurance cover against the failure of Viking Airlines from the UK's largest insurer of airlines and other holiday components and found they are no longer providing cover. Read into that what you like but I suspect there may be a number of failures in the next few weeks, business never recovered this summer. If you want to be certain of getting your holiday or a complete refund if the worst happens, and not just the cost of your flights, book a complete package and not components that leave you with accommodation but no way to get there0
