  • I had one of these. To be honest it didn't last very long. It gave up the ghost after about 4 months, by which time the kids had lost interest in donuts anyway.

Me too...I have been given a doughnut maker by my hubby at some point but, I've lost interest on it after using it once...The doughnuts that were made did not meet my expectations...

I was disappointed with my donut maker, was expecting donuts like you buy but mine were much more rubbery, will be interested if anyone has any tried ideas
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
  • I use a litte yeast in the batter leave to rise for about half an hour and it makes doughnuts that taste like doughnuts not yorkshire pudding!
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I've just borrowed a friends donut maker for my daughter's American High School themed birthday party this Saturday, and used the recipe given in the instruction book, but they have come out just like sweet yorkshire puds. Is that what they are supposed to be like?
Anyone have a link to a recipe that would actually taste of donuts hehe?
    Thanks

    Hi arhino,

Someone in this thread suggested adding a little yeast to the mix to make them more doughnutty.
