Of course it hasn't. The imbecile raised the issue in the first place with the deluded theory we had all been clamped and received private parking tickets. The theory being, like all of his ramblings, complete toss. Once this was debunked he looked for some other nonsense to throw at people and is ranting about the thread taking a turn which he instigated.

    What a fool :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What was that you just wrote:

"I see you do not want reasoned debate just to hurl insults. Thought as much. A leopard may hide its spots but cannot change them."

I asked the question if people on this thread had been clamped, yes.

This was debunked, only 3 people replied saying they haven't, so hardly debunked.

Funny how discussions on this site quickly descend into petty rants and insults, by people who really have not made any real input into the discussion.

Why will the police and the council be busier?

    What will they be doing?

No doubt receiving several calls per day about cars being parked on private land.

    Oh dear. :o

I think I understand now there is a door which opens outwards has a small path and then onto a road where cars park. Can you put bollards on the road? Barriers at each side of the path where the staff would leave. I have seen both of these methods used.

& then the person without permission to park simply takes the next available space.

    The question you asked was

"By any chance have all the posters on here been clamped for parking on private land before? "

Therefore if one person replies that they haven't then your question is answered and your implied supposition proved incorrect.

As it will be a civil matter then I doubt the police would become involved and if it is not council land then neither will the council

    Oh dear indeed.

No longer endangering the escape route of staff.

So basically because it somebody else's problem, and you all get free parking, nobody is that bothered?

That is what I think this thread boils down to.

Yes, the problem will just disappear.

People have suggested alternatives, no one is condoning parking irresponsibly.

I have come to the conclusion that liam8282 works as a clamper or in the parking industry. Mate, you protest too much.

I shall be ignoring his posts now and hope he'll just go away as he's not making any valid contribution to this thread except to (deliberately) try to get away from the main discussion which is what we all think about clamping being banned.

    Let's all compare gloats!

YAY! CLAMPERS ARE BANNED, NOW THEY'LL NEED TO GET A REAL JOB!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
