Yay! Thank you everyone. I'm feeling much better. Just written a kickass letter to ex-h solicitor. Not looking forward to having to follow through on it because like you say Chevalier, it is the kids that suffer. I have spent 4 years trying to ensure that there is no crossfire for them to get caught up in. I think the ex honestly thinks I live the life of reilly. He once commented that I must have plenty of money because I was working 3 jobs! The boys are pretty much great when it comes to understanding that we don't have money to spend. They've even reflected on the fact that their Dad does have money to go around.
Whoops - just remembered that in a fit of 'oh I'll just do that whilst I'm here' I have pulled the fridge out to clean and now no-one can get in the bathroom. Oh well, I'll grab myself a cup of tea and get that finished. Plan to make tonight's dinner this morning as keep getting to 5 o'clock and too tired to do it. So, letters in the post, clean fridge and put it back, get washed and dressed, go shopping, take boys swimming (hopefully avoiding my sleepy afternoon time) and then maybe, maybe a bit of ebaying tonight. Maybe.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

PS fab idea about Asda pizza - I was just being sooo lazy yesterday.
PPS I'm going to mull over the massage course for now. I'm going to trust this one to the universe. It is something that I think I would really enjoy, would really develop my practice and my business and would benefit my overall physical and mental health. It is definitely worth pursuing.Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Going out this afternoon at my traditional tired time made such a difference to my overall productivity, energy and parenting! I'm knackered now and really fancy a glass of wine but have intentionally not bought any to avoid temptation. I've got girlfriends coming over tomorrow for cocktails so I can save my urge to drink until then. We're all bringing a different cocktail so I'm hoping there is going to be lots of laughing and at least some falling over.
Talking of which, I still haven't sorted out the living room. The falling over might be due to all the mess!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Ruby, you know if I was closer I would have your cockerel
But to think of MSE could you fatten him up and then eat him as that will save some money :rotfl:
Alternatively you need to put him in a coop which is shorter than him so that he can't stretch his neck when he wants to crow - this may only be a myth as my cockerels did not crow if they were locked inside a dark coop until I opened the door so if you have light in yours could you cover it up so they think it is dark until you let them out?
Hope your living room is tidy ready for a great time tonight with the girls :T

EE - he is the tiniest cockerel in the whole world! I think he is a bantam but I've named him Tiny. Probably not a good idea to give him a name when his future is so uncertain!
I managed to spiv the house. All the stuff in boxes is still in boxes just neatly stacked still in boxes and not sorted out yet. But the house is hoovered and clean and tidy if you overlook that. And now I can sort out one box at a time.
DS3 went to a friends today so took DS1 and DS2 into town. I had decided to reshuffle the budget so that I could take them for lunch. We went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen where the kids meal was £6.25 for burger, chips, milkshake and icelolly. Because I have a discount card from the local independent cinema we got 25% off the bill so lunch for 3 for £21 and we were all so full that we haven't eaten for the rest of the day!! Topped it off with a trip to the 99p shop - I love it! DS1 who is a born Money Saver was in heaven! I got some stacking pots for my strawberries
Not sure what to do for the evening now. Should probably get a few groceries for the morning but after 2 nights of heavy social drinking I just want to curl up in bed!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Update:
Tiny has gone. I took him to my sister's house so that my brother-in-law could do the deed in the kindest way possible. We then fed him to the ferrets so that there was no waste
I super spivved my bedroom. Mostly it has just been cleaned, tidied, decluttered and organised. I took a chandelier from the living room and blinged it up with some coloured crystals from my craft box. The result is one very boudoir worthy chandelier- only problem is its so lovely now the boys keep coming in to hang out!
Spent a couple of days at my sister's to celebrate my niece's birthday. Arrived to a frugal feast of roast venison!!! Honestly, they have a freezer full! My b-i-l goes shooting and is friends with the local gamekeeper.
I realised last week that I missed the 1st anniversary of joining MSE. It gave me cause to reflect on how my debt free wannabe journey has gone over the last year. I realise that I've got a bit stuck in a rut due to circumstances and that I've been very focussed on the fact that I can't get out. I've lost sight of the fact that there is always a way out, always a choice I just have to focus on the positives and keep inching things forward.
I have managed to get a grasp on my financial situation, contact the CCCS, set up £1 token offers to creditors, implement a budget and stick to it. I've also managed to stay afloat. Now its time to swim!
In the spirit of this I am going to wrap up 'Week 2: There's So Much We Can Do' and start a new debt-busting adventure 'Where there's muck, there's brass'. Come and join me!!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73
