A very poor offer, very poor indeed
I can't believe all the moaners on here.
They have offered to try to source local salons and then if that's fails to provide an alternative locally.
What more do people want?
and no I don't work for Andrex, I just think they have offered everything they possibly can.0 -
Actually its for the special offers that I would consider buying stuff like this. If I can get a (useable) Proctor & Gamble freebie, etc, etc I go for it too. Its their loss, right, as presumably they'll be paying on to the salons etc?Wildlife_Ranger wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Andrex made by Kimberley Clarke?? The same company that Greenpeace currently have a campaign against for their clear-cutting of ancient forests to make toilet roll. We should not be buying their products at all, let alone for their special offers. Is a massage worth the destruction of ancient habitats and all the wildlife that depend on them?
BTW, I thought its quite low in Brighton as theres only Aromatherapy available. Tons of places doing 'treatments' here, though, my mum paid £19 for me to have a massage for my birthday- it lasted 15 minutes! There's the others in Framefield (?) E. Sussex but Ive no car- and no idea where it is! If over places are arranged for people do they make it to the online database, I wonder?0 -
I have written to them to see what they can offer me. I am in Pembroekshire and they have left us out and the 2 neighbouring counties. Which means a 60 mile drive to Swansea and back again for the most local.
See what they suggest!0 -

No they won't pay the salons.
The salons are doing it for free in return for the publicity and getting potential new customers.
Ther point being made is that we shouldn't be buying their products because they are damaging the environment.0 -

Good for you for doing something about it.
I hope you get a decent local alternative.0 -

For anyone living near glasgow there's quite a few to go to:
FOREVER YOUNG- HOLISTIC BEAUTY & SKINCARE (EAST KILBRIDE)
THE BEAUTY CONNECTION (GLASGOW)
BEAUTY IN THE CITY (GLASGOW)
GLISTEN BEAUTY CLINIC (GLASGOW)
FARAH'S HAIR & BEAUTY - 152 ALBERT DRIVE (GLASGOW)
FARAH'S HAIR & BEAUTY - 127 ALBERT DRIVE (GLASGOW)
KOULA'S BEAUTY SPOT (GLASGOW)
ESSENTIAL THERAPY (GLASGOW)
NATURAL SENSE HEALTH & BEAUTY CLINIC (GLASGOW)
btw:
To copy the list from your particular county you need to highlight the whole box, from the text above it to well below it then paste it onto a blank Notepad page or something. All the entries in the box will come up on a single line and all you have to i spress return a few times to break it into a neat list and your done.0 -
That about the people who see the offer in the shop and follow the steps they say - buy the product, attach tokens to card, register on site to book and then they are told there is nothing locally?
As has been said serveral times and is printed in the terms and conditions:
They should call the "concierge line" and see if a salon can be sourced in their local area. If this can't be done in a reasonable time scale (4 weeks) then Andrex will offer a suitable alternative locally.
What MORE can they do?
How are people losing out if Andrex are offering to find alternatives? Why don't they say on the packet first step check you have a local participating therapist
I don't see any need to do that if they are offering the alternatives above.
If people are buying it just for the promotion (and don't use loo roll for some reason) then they should consider reading the terms and conditions first, but I think Andrex have done everything they can to provide alternatives where there are current gaps so I don't see a need to warn people as I don't see that there is a problem.0
