I love this book. Excellent results for minimum ingredients!
The chocolate chip cookies are absolutely spot on. I serve them warm with vanilla ice cream and grated chocolate over the top and they're just perfect every time. I can't resist them and have been having them almost every day this week
The chicken sandwich burger and vanilla milkshake are also spot on. Will have a go at the pizzas soon.
Did anyone notice there's a picture of a hot dog on the front cover but no actual hot dog recipe in the book?0 -
Yep, I can confirm it is only £1.99 instore at The Works, I spotted it this morning.

I wish I had seen that earlier as I ordered it from Amazon at £3.99! I was in a rush and read the beginning of the thread, thought the book sounded great and rushed off to order it. Oh well, that'll teach me not to think things through first and do the research properly!0

If it makes you feel any better, I bought mine instore at WH Smith when it first came out for £5.99. I rang first to ask if it was in stock and it was so I assumed it was the same price as their online price. Wrong!
Oh well, I did have a gift voucher to use up and it has been worth the money if only for the kebab and banana muffin recipes.

Me too, but I don't feel too bad about it, its the higher value items I spend lots of time shopping around to get the best deal, not for one off purchases of £3.99 which represent good value anyway.espresso21 wrote: »I wish I had seen that earlier as I ordered it from Amazon at £3.99!
Someone mentioned banana muffin
That's another of the things I can't wait to try. 0 -
Hi pendulum, I too noticed the picture of the hotdog & noticed that there is no recipe for an actual hotdog!
If you look at the hotdog carefully you will notice that there is a squirt of yellow sauce on the top - could this be the special burger sauce? If so, give it a try! I made it for the first time last week & am addicted to it! Had it on burgers & in chicken sandwiches & with salad... yum.
Also made banana muffins, can recommend these too. Made mega burgers last nite, excellent. One poster on here described it very succinctly "everything you hope a McD will be, but it never is".
My local Works store doesn't have it in stock so will extend the loan of the copy I have from my local library as they staff at the Works store said they get deliveries every day & it may pop up any time but can't order it for me as they just get what they're given.0 -
oh yeah, the special burger sauce....I love it and the OH would eat it on its own!!!0

True. Anyway the book has arrived now and I'm quite eager to try it out, especially the Southern Fried Chicken recipe...although I am having some difficulty finding onion powder!!!0 -
