    I think you need Windows XP to get it unbranded as well as unlocked. It didn't work on Vista.
    Maybe wrong though??

    One thing you need to be careful of is the screen, it fits flush against the casing so any knocks or pressure can cause the screen to crack, not a major problem as you can buy a replacement screen from ebay for under £10

    The OP quotes this as a Smartphone, if you buy this phone thinking its a smartphone you will be disappointed as its not.

    Its a very good phone for £10 though, well done everyone that got one, just be carefull with the screen (as I learnt)

    Forgot to say, I'd definately de-brand the phone if you can, the phone I got had Orange software on it, I really noticed the difference in speed when I debranded and got rid of all the orange crap..
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

  • You dont wanna pay the £3 i provided a link for you all from youtube, that shows you exactly step by step how to do it, and even shows u were to get the files from for that phone. I have unlocked mine with this. PLUS i have debranded also. I f you need help just ask. let me know where your getting stuck on

    It appears that I cannot unlock this phone if I am using windows XP3?

    anyone else finding this and is there a 'getround'?

    the initial LG prog wont run. just tells me that it is running but nothing comes up.
