try plugging the phone in the split second after hitting enter (dont forget you have to hit enter twice. It is trial and error but it will work- eventually!:D

i did indeed mean ks360.

i can't get it to load the flash. the computer, when i connect the phone to it, pops up with 'usb flash' but the another bubble comes up saying there was a problem and it may malfunction....

I got mine today and unlocked it using an unlocking programme bought for £3 off ebay, only took about 15 minutes to complete

Miss.bint, is your unlocking program any different to the one that is shown on the Hotdeals link??

Ty OP, hubby collected the phone for me yesterday.

I am now in the process of trying to unlock it following the instructions.

Miss.bint any chance you could even supply a link to the ebay listing for the method of unlocking you used. I've had a look on ebay and can't see anything for that cheap, they are around the £8 quid mark.

I downloaded it from him and he was really helpful.
Bit of advice, in the instructions where it says 'copy' folder, copy it and don't move it like I did!

As for unlocking I found this by googling, not sure if it works or not as i'm leaving mine with it Tesco sim.

Yes it's slightly different, a bit easier to follow IMO.
Plus, the original thread on HUKD is so wrong! All the backslashes are missing and some of the steps are wrong (ie, select N, you actually select O).
This also tells you when to connect the phone. The one from HUKD didn't do that for me. I kept getting stuck on step 9
