Emmsy - I second/millionth what the others have said. I split with DS's dad when DS was 16 weeks due to domestic violence, confidence in pieces, thought aged 21 my lofe was over etc etc. Met someone else when DS was 5 who I really thought was 'the one' but I left him after 3 years when he made it clear that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me but would never marry me (honey, I aint free! :p). Really wondered whether I'd cut off my nose to spite my face and whether I'd ever meet someone else. A couple of weeks later I got made redundant so really thought it was game over for me. Found a really poorly paid temporary job a couple of weeks after this and met my gorgeous amazing hubby. Cannot believe how lucky I've been.

Don't lose faith, it will happen :A

Smartie - yes please I'll have some cake :D

No Kitkat by the sounds of things?

As for me, 5 days overdue and 1 sweep later and not even a bit of gunk in my knickers :eek::eek::eek: Did I really just say that!!!!:rotfl:

MV - my placentor is anterior too. Enjoy your scan

Good luck for today MV - don't forget to relax so you can enjoy seeing your beautiful baby.
Oxclairexo - isn't it amazing when you start to feel them moving - I had an anterior placenta with DS, and didn't feel him til 26 weeks, this time I've been feeling movement for what seems like ages (currently 17+1). I am making the most of it before baby can reach to kick my ribs!

Emsy, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning. I am in awe of how well you've coped this far, you should be very proud that your children have such a strong woman as their role model. But I know that doesn't stop you feeling terrible when the hormones hit.

    Don79, ouch!

Well, after all the stress last week and over the weekend, we have had our offer accepted on the house. :j:j:j:j

Apparently the cash buyer was a Texan businessman (sounds like a dodgy comedy, doesn't it :) ) who owns the property next door, and just happened to be in the UK last week. I could have kneecapped any passing Texans over the weekend. Not that there are that many of them in Kent. I feel bad for the other couple who wanted it though, I'm far too soft for this property buying business :o

So please keep your fingers crossed for us that it will all go through smoothly, and I can have space for my birth pool, and a garden for our babies, and even a spare room for my mum to come and stay. I am trying not to get too excited yet though, and have banned myself from looking on Ebay for "bargains" for the new house, not least because there is no room in this house to put them :rotfl:

    Hi all

Hope everyone is ok this morning. It has been raining on and off here which has freshened things up a bit! Feels like the head has dropped a bit here, bump has moved down slightly and there’s more pressure than usual on my foof! I’ve also been having some period type cramps which I presume is the SPD rather than anything to worry about!?

Everyone has been v chatty in the office today, so haven’t got a lot done yet! Am so just counting the days down now! 3 days in the office this week after today and then 4 next week, maybe even 3 if I work from home one day! My main priority is deleting emails and clearing out my papers I think, don’t want to come back to a mess!!! It’s a different sort of nesting!

Delain is hoping to come home today, she’s still waiting for the steroid injections!

MV – all the best for the scan. I am always worrying something is/will go wrong, and I’ve not had a mc in the past so you are bound to! I don’t have an anterior placenta but didn’t feel movement really til a while after 20 week scan. Weirdly I can’t remember when it was now, never thought I’d forget!

Sir m – hope it goes/is going ok this am.

Lovely guy in the council who I hardly know but has been on a couple of lunchtime walks has just offered me a cotbed, we don’t need it, but how lovely people are

Emsy – hugs to you, you will come out the other side and you’re better off without him for sure!

Chakani – great news on the house!

MV - good luck for your scan, am sure everything will be fine.

Chakani - CONGRATULATIONS! That's such wonderful news :)

Well, I've been to the GP about my SPD-like pains, she basically shrugged it off as "part of being pregnant" and gave me a form to refer myself to the physio. I asked if she would write it on my maternity notes and she said no because it was nothing to do with the baby. So much for the hospital "needing to know" if you have SPD so they can make adjustments for your labour! I'm seriously thinking about going private :(

Lilian, that's rubbish and is kind of what happened to me. Main thing is you can get referred to physio -they should take much more seriously! i for a long time thought it was just part of being pregnant but then realised if it was it wouln't be so severe!
