aw ems huge ((hugs)) just vent on here, you know you can get it off your chest. x

Ticklepenny just wanted to say you are a star! Bought some piriten (sp?) for dd and it is working wonders, she has not scratched all afternoon and has some colour back in her face too. Spots are definately getting better thank goodness.

I have a really sore tummy :( it's just wind but it's starting to make me feel a bit sick. Anything I can take to help it 'move along'?

I read it on the pack when DD had a reaction to pennicillin, and asked a HV about it and she said it was THE best thing for kids with chicken pox, but that they arent supposed to recommend it for some weird reason. I have recommended it to all my friends whose kids had chicken pox and they have all said that their kids were so much happier once they started.

My SPD is killing me tonight despite cocodamol. MIL is making up for the other day by looking after DD for the night so I have just stayed on the sofa moaning. OH has been amazing looking after me. Just trying to think of a lovely little thank you gift. He doesnt like sweets, and is on a low fat, salt and cholesterol diet. He likes fitness but hasnt been to the gym since his stroke as he is awaiting the all clear from the cardiologist. Hmmmmmmm so far I am thinking of getting him a band T-shirt as he is really into his metal. He is such a fuss about presents though, I may just get him some boxers lol.

Anywho this was supposed to be a quick reply. WIll now go away and play games on FB for a bit :D

Oh and my HIP grant has been paid :D I put it aside to go toward the reusable nappies. I don't have much left to buy now:
nappies (and all the bits that go with it)
    reusable wipes
car seat adapter (using £10 off voucher at M&P)
foot muff (again using £10 off in a separate txn plus a £5 gift card)
changing mat (still not found a winnie pooh one I like)
gym ball (can't decide if I need one or not)
    maternity pads
Button up night dress/ or PJs

My hipg got paid today :D So have just ordered us a new hoover as ours has died AND I get to have a long awaited haircut (7months) :o
As for nightdresses my mum recomended these as I love wearing tshirts (but need something longer now) EDIT: This site also does big cup non wired bras, I think they look quite sexy too

I went to the Dr and got a prescription for gaviscon (or gavvers come as my DH calls it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and when I rang to get a repeat they said it was too expensive and they wont do it on prescription anymore so now I have peptac liquid which is ok but Im getting through a litre every couple of weeks, it just doesnt seem to last :(

Thanks HG for the colours. We were both chuffed to bits :D

Sending labour vibes to all you BOLD ladies.

I got given peptac the first time I got a script, you have to take about double what you do Gaviscon to make it work, I ended up requesting gaviscon because the peptac just didn't agree with me...

Evening all, hope you're all well, good luck and safe deliveries to all who need them :T

Quick question, does anyone else get really annoyed when people don't reply to texts/emails/messages? I've always found it quite rude but since being pregnant it's annoying me even more and I'm really taking it personally :o I don't mean that people have a set time limit to reply - I know I don't always have the time to sit down and write a huge reply so I don't expect anyone else to - but I mean when they've sent you an epic message, you reply, then nothing back from them, then you see that they've changed their status/uploaded pics/commented on someone else's post(s), or that someone else has sent them a message and they've replied to that person - so you know they've been online, they're just not replying to you! It's the same one person, and everytime she does it, I get so annoyed that I'll not speak to her for a week or two - then she sends me an epic message and the whole thing starts again! I'll reply, she'll reply, I'll reply again and then nothing!
And it's not like we say "speak to you soon" or anything, I'll have asked her a question or told her something, so there is something there for her to reply to! I'm too much of a coward to ask her straight out why she doesn't reply, but when she's mentioned her other friends who do it - and said how annoying she finds it!! - I also say how much it annoys me! Actually, while writing this, I've sent her a facebook message saying

"Just letting you know while you asked me to, things went ok at the consultants today :)

Hope you're ok and there's nothing too serious why you didn't reply to this message - I do take it personally when people don't reply, I know I shouldn't but I can't help it.

    x"

Is that too needy? Am I too needy? Am I being unreasonable? Am I an awful friend? Or is it something that is actually annoying? Gah, now I am being needy, wanting you all to reassure me that it's ok to feel how I do... Have been up since 5.10 this morning, think it's time to drag my sorry insecure backside to bed! Night everyone, sleep tight, sweet dreams and hugs xxxxx

Cutterby - Ah, you're not needy - you're pregnant. And hormonal!!! If it makes you feel better I could be the friend you're talking about!! I'm renowned for taking an age to reply to texts, FB msgs, return phone calls etc. It genuinely isn't anything personal, I forget or I think I'll do it later - which never happens. So I really wouldn't worry about it to much hon.

Thanks for the gender info ladies, I shall update the list accordingly.

I was just thinking tonight actually that I will ask my GP for a prescription of Gaviscon because at over £6 a bottle it's going to work out quite expensive

Right, I'm off to my bed.

    Night all x
