  • ASH - I did the same. Treated myself to some lovely new undies, then found out I was pregnant and grew out of them in just a couple of weeks

RBG - It's really nice to know that someone else has expereienced the same kind of friend and knows how I feel. That's not to say that I'm glad that you've gone through the same, much the opposite. Alas I can't say anything to her, otherwise she'll go into a paranoid little world and appologise for everything in case it might have offended someone. It just makes me want to shout "YES I AM OFFENDED, BUT IT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T TRUST ME TO BE YOUR FRIEND"

Just had my forms from work to fill in. They need to be submitted by the end of my 15th week before my due date. That'll be today then! I like getting lots of notice about these things. Don't have a MATB1 though, so they'll have to wait for that.

Sick-free wishes to one and all

    Morning chicks :A

Back to hospital for me today........pre-op check ready for c/section, we have to have it 3 weeks before as we are screened for MRSA, so they do consent forms, weight etc etc today. Will be keeping my clothes clamped on, I don't want anyone touching me :o

I was swabbed for MRSA the other day when they booked me in, I did have to drop my trousers for the groin swab but kept my pants firmly in place. It was not pleasant. Didn't get weighed though that is a new one for me. They also gave me my hibiscrub and ranitidine tablet for me to keep at home for 2 weeks then take with me when I go in on the tuesday as I need to be in the night before grrr. Just have to remember to go get my bloods done on the monday.

Bump performing on demand.....I wish! Little git moves when it feels like it, currently got itself into a routine of just squirming throughout the day and then having a rave from around 8pm till 11pm...does not bode well for when its out lol

Mine is always active then too, there must be some baby bump party going on we haven't been invited to.

Thought I'd pop into work to pick up my script for more testing strips and lancets and they didn't have them in stock, rubbish pharmacy. I'm not desparate though so they'll order them and then someone is gonna drop them round yay. I had to get some bread and milk anyway so wasn't a completely wasted journey. The kids were really good as well so got some chocolate button treats afterwards. Now I'm exhausted and could happily go back to bed for the rest of the day.

My foof feels like it is bruised :o do you think things maybe beginning to soften? (sorry what a way to start a post :D)

Fuzz I have read a good lot of your posts since I first 'found' you on the TTC and I have never "seen" you so pee'd off so ((hugs)) to you and c'mon baby fuzz we don't like a pee'd off mummy fuzz :D.

MV you are quite right to take the time off work, I found with my last pregnancy I got so stressed out as I was the only one doing my job and they were dragging their heels employing someone for me to train. Eventually I was so stressed my BP was through the roof and I ended up in hospital for 2 days. You HAVE to look after number 1. Hope you feel better soon.x

Labour vibes to Legs etc xxx

Erm sure their was something else but have forgotten :o

Thanks Dusty, but I've given up on the TT tickets. I've spent a good 3 hours trying today, eventually found seated tickets at £81, but I'm not prepared to pay that much when it's also going to cost me £70 in petrol to get up to Manchester (my best mate who I'd have been going with lives near Liverpool, as do my parents, so Manchester was the easiest venue). The distance also means I'm tied to needing to go on the Saturday in order to fit it around work as I'll be back by then, which I don't think helps as I imagine that'll be one of the most popular dates.

And it would of course cause a logistical nightmare with a baby! Do I take the baby and leave him/her with my parents while I'm at the show? Their preferred option, I'm sure, but I'm not sure I'd be ready for a 500 mile round trip with just me and Flump. DH could come with us, but that would mean abandoning him with my folks for the day whilst I went out, and I'm not sure I'm sadistic enough to subject him to that! Else leave the baby at home with DH, face the wrath of my mother for not bringing her grandchild to see her and hope DH can cope home alone with a baby for a weekend!

I think I'm doing quite well at convincing myself that it's more hassle than it's worth now ;)

Been to see the MW, baby is now 2/5 engaged. This perhaps explains why my hips/pelvis have been really achy over the past couple of days? I've to see her again next Friday when she'll do a sweep if I want her to. She said the hospital prefer me to have had one before I go for an induction (if we get to that stage), but she said I don't have to if I don't want it since there's nothing they can do if I get there and haven't had one.

Planning a day out with DH tomorrow, our last "just the 2 of us" day for a long time, probably (hopefully!) Plan is to do as much walking as I can manage.

Right, I'm off to make my Christmas cake now :)

Bruised foof...could well be you softening up! and Thanks :) I'm actually feeling a bit better now but think thats coz I've eaten, been to the loo:o and had a wander round the neighbourhood and generally feel as though I'm doing something to shift the little rat..I just can't take many more days of having my skin feeling ridiculously over-stretched...it hurts! Think I'm still hungry actually...is getting your appetite back a sign of imminent labour?? I could happily snack for england:D and just gone online to update our Gas & electric readings...they're puttin up the effin prices come Dec:mad: Time to change me thinks! Well once bubs is here I will :) Feel as though I'm spending my life thinking, 'once bubs is here I'll....' :)

  • Thanks guys.

It wouldn't be be so utterly ridiculous if it wasn't for the fact that I have everything I need to do my job as easily from home as from the office (laptop, connectivity to the server, blackberry etc), yet they quibble and !!!!! about the odd half a day here or there.

    Ah well..only 6 weeks left :)

I'll just phone in sick from now on.

My skin feels utterly over-stretched at 29 weeks - I can't imagine it has any more give in it. But if I'm still on the target size for weeks it means it has another 10cm+ of stretching to do - eeekkkkk.

    Afternoon everyone

Thank you for the warm welcomes, and thanks for adding me to the EDD list :D

Hope you're all doing ok today - hugs to anyone and everyone who needs them. Well done to all who got tickets, my newsfeed on facebook is full of 'can't get tickets' or 'woo got tickets' - I didn't even try, I'm not really a concert/gig type person :o I'm sure there'll be a DVD so we'll all get to see it one way or another :D

Feeling quite 'normal' today - I'm only just passed the feeling rubbish all day stage, which was awful but at least I felt pregnant, now I just feel fat :rotfl:Worrying is what I do best, and last night I put a dab of tea tree oil on a spot (anyone else had awful skin since being pregnant? Can't be just me, surely?!), then read the label said "don't use during pregnancy" so I had a little panic about that too, but my skin hasn't peeled off yet so I'm hoping it's all ok! Does anyone know if there's a particular reason you can't use aromatherapy while pregnant or is it just a precaution?
Will google it later if I remember...

Anyway, sorry for the epic post - and for not remembering who's said what, my memory is shocking at the minute! I'm off to [STRIKE]terrorise [/STRIKE] spend a bit of time with hubby before he's back in work :(

    xxxxxx
