Emsy- ive been 'leaking' for a couple of days now. Not that much but a little every day - they told me if my waters go fully or if i start getting proper contractions to go in but otherwise they have just left me.:(
Good luck for the sweepie!!
I like babycakes too!!:T:j Mummy to little Poppy June :j0 -
some bloke called me babycakes in a club as he was trying to chat me up. I nearly punched him
I think BabyCakes works for nappies (but not as a term of endearment for me). Now you need a nice logo for it.
when I (eventually) get restarted on my business and do baby related t-shirts too (baby on board, hands off the bump etc) maybe I could do a link to your website on my baby page??
Do little cupcakes too. I got my friend a really cute vest rolled up and put in a pink muffin case when she was expecting. I'm sure you could do stuff like that too.
And it is MSE...otherwise you'd have to buy the nappy cakes for your friends. This way you save moneyIf having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
I vote Babycakes too!!
Oh I see, you mean pampering not pampers nappiesNo wonder I was confused!
I would stick with the Babycakes name and just let people know you have expanded into pampering products as well. If it takes off could you add the email address pampercakes as well and use both names (not really sure how it all works!)
Good luck Emsy xx0 -
hi everyone, good to hear everyone's news. A quick question. I'm now 35 weeks and got a letter from health visitor saying she will call round next week on Tuesday between 10-12.
Anyone know what they do on this first visit? will she want a tour of the house or is it just a chat?
All my mw appointments have been at the clinic and I just feel a bit strange about this visit ... I know I'm being daft but I just would have liked a bit more info.
Thanks to those in the know.

As Krystal says, you don't have to have her there, or show her anything in your house. She's very dedicated, I've never seen a HV before the birth either.emsywoo123 wrote: »I know what you mean about the 2 months lost money, but I just feel I'd like to give him that opportunity to show he is capable of doing it cos he wants to rather than cos I made him IYSWIM?
After this afternoon I might be so pee'd off with him I go round and demand chunks of cash today :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
You're a good person, I make that about £195 a month. You will be fine with the birth, sweep may speed up labour a bit.
What about "Happy Cakes"Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Those look fantastic by the way good on you!!
Talking of cakes I have just had a wee slice of rocky road cake and a cup of tea, it's been a while since I've been able to enjoy a treat like that especially at this time of the afternoon. I hope I'm not getting too excited about the demise of MS but I definately feel so much better. Think I might start swimming next week when my DD goes to nursery in the afternoon....get me!:D"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. Right too much posting will have to go and make tea then I want to go to Curry's before I pick DD up as our hoover is knackered and they have a sale on at the mo. Will catch up with you lovelies later. xx
Oh just before I go meant to say, when I met my friends earlier one of them asked if i could hold her baby while she was getting organised, he is nearly 6 months and gorgeous, anway cue baby getting himself comfy, lying down and trying to latch on to me:eek: he was trying to pull my top down and wouldn't stop sucking my jumper :rotfl::rotfl:everyone was in stitches but I was mortified!"That's no reason to cry. Nowt from Fuzz as of yesterday
I always think the water from canned hot dogs smells like it. Obviously so did Limp Bizkit (ha now I'm showing I'm getting older!) with their year 2000 album 'chocolate starfish (and hot dog flavoured water)' Nice. You'll listen to anything at 15 as long as it annoys your mum :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Sorry Coops, I had my scans at Stonehaven and they won't tell you there either...signs up everywhere saying not to even ask. I've gotten used to the idea of it being a surprise now so we're not paying for a private scan.
I wonder if you can ask the sonographer to locate the "bits" and freeze the screen to let you have a look yourself without asking her an opinionAKA: PC
