Thanks for the reassurance ladies. It isn;'t that I feel detached from it all. I'm sure as bump grows I'll get more excited but I literally do forget. This is only because I feel absolutely no different. I think it worries me more than anything, a few times I've wondered if I am still PG as i feel absolutely no different.

I know a lack of symptoms means nothing and I'm just a lucky one but it makes me wonder. Especiall as I'm that long stretch til the 20 week scan (which is still 4 weeks away)

Anyway, on a brighter note i'm off to the flicks with the girlies tonight. Plus 241 pizza :D. So while I'm in town Im going to the big Boots to spend my £5 voucher and collect my free changing bag.

Do I just ask one of the sales assistants to go and get one for me? Do I need to ring before hand to make sure they have them in stock?

@dusty - the boots changing bags are on the shop floor (or they were at my store). Just take it to the till with your nappies and vouchers.

They're usually just on a stand Dusty... And I still forget I'm pregnant now... And I can feel it move... And it's number 3... It reminds me though, when I go to roll over in bed and my pelvis clicks, that's a real reminder!!

Emsy, I would go the CSA route too... I tried to go with a private arrangement with DD1s biological... I thought he would definitely pay for her... But then I never thought he'd ditch us when I was pregnant... He surprised me on both counts... It took 2yrs before CSA got anything from him too...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Its a good point, the clock starts ticking only from when you contact CSA, so if he doesn't pay for two months, babe has lost that money.

Right, I'll shut up now, as you have more important things to concentrate on.

hi everyone, good to hear everyone's news. A quick question. I'm now 35 weeks and got a letter from health visitor saying she will call round next week on Tuesday between 10-12.

Anyone know what they do on this first visit? will she want a tour of the house or is it just a chat?

All my mw appointments have been at the clinic and I just feel a bit strange about this visit ... I know I'm being daft but I just would have liked a bit more info.

Thanks to those in the know.

I know what you mean about the 2 months lost money, but I just feel I'd like to give him that opportunity to show he is capable of doing it cos he wants to rather than cos I made him IYSWIM?

After this afternoon I might be so pee'd off with him I go round and demand chunks of cash today :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hiya,
I do not know, as cutbacks mean we don't get seen at home til post natal, but from memory of last time, it was just a chat, but I wanted to proudly show of DD's room anyway, so she might have been angling to get in there but I dragged her in anyway :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've never had an antenatal health visitor home visit... Only had them round the once when the baby gets signed off from the midwife... They've never toured the house or anything then...

And if you're really not comfortable then you can decline it, they don't HAVE to come round :)

  • Hi ladies, I have read mention of a £5 voucher for Debenhams and Boots and wondered if I am missing anything? :p

How long does it take to join the Boots club. Was about two weeks ago we went into Boots to get the bag and were told we had to wait until a voucher was sent in the post, and the assistant said she'd send the form off for me. Of course I am not in any great rush :o but it's nice to get freebies and gets me out of the house :o
