MV if you are worried get on to your midwife today. As for the movements you could have an anterior placenta like i did it meant i couldnt feel hardly any movement until after 20wks, at my scan the woman asked if i could feel babs moving as she was going wild in there but i couldnt feel a thing x
:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j
  • Mv the placenta position can effect how soon you feel baby. If you lie down and eat a couple of ice lollies I usually find that works, when your busy you don't really feel bubs moving.

Re spotting, I know this can be common. I've only ever experienced it due to piles !!!

Lost my plug this morning, tmi alert it wasn't in one piece, everytime i wiped it just kept coming, a bit strange also since the sweep I've been having strange dreams which I'm guessing is due to increase in hormones ( I haven't remembered a dream in months and the last three nights I've had weird dreams )

MV, I didn't feel my first til 26 weeks, although he then started booting me all over the place! As the others said, placenta placement might mean you don't feel things as early, but it's also normal not to feel the first one until later, I have no idea why.

Hopefully it's just pre-scan nerves, but do phone the MW if you're worried.

Sounds promising MLSL :) And is Kitkat around this morning? Could we have birth buddies going on?

Still waiting to hear on the house, not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I have decided that this part of being pregnant is lovely, I can feel kicks but they don't hurt, I am bumpy enough to look pregnant rather than fat, but still have plenty of energy and I can still sleep properly. Can I stay like this until baby is cooked please?
  • Thanks.

I would call my midwife if I had an allocated one.

Where I live you get spit AN care between the hospital and your GP. I haven't seen a midwife from the GP yet (got to make at appt for 24 weeks), so there isn't really anyone to call. I've seen different people at the hospital each time I've gone!

Hopefully I'm just being a twonk and worrying about nothing. I haven't had anymore spotting (thank god), so will wait and see if anything else occurs.

Below is a link to my bump as of today. Actually compared to the last couple I'd taken (and stupidly forgot to date..doh), my belly does appear to be getting bigger.

After a really awful day at work yesterday and a rubbish evening MS wise, I decided to work at home today. Good plan, as I spent some of my early waking moments with my head in a bucket :(

The phone calls from my colleague have started already. Once to my work phone, which I didn't answer as I'm not at 'work' yet, and 20 seconds later a call to my personal phone (I'm still not at work, so I'm still not answering it). It's only just 9!!

I can see that it's going to be one of those days! I'm not so emotionaly today, so hopefully I'll get less upset about it.

MV, I understand your fears! But your bump looks great and i didn't really feel anything until after the scan and despite seeing the bean moving around like crazy i could only feel the slightest movements. I do think our bodies will hide the bean inside so deep at the beginning, protecting it from the slightest bumps and grazes.

Try and relax until monday and we will await news of your scan :)

Huge labour vibes to MLSL and Kitkate

And the test messages have started. One to each phone so far, and an e-mail.....

  • Mv I'm shared care as well, if you call your gp to find out what days the midwife has a drop in, if not ask for his/her advice or there is always the a&e. Considering what you have been through in the past I get why your worried. The bump size thing depends on where bubs is lying but if your worried get it checked out and don't let it ruin your weekend.
