Confuzzled, I used to defrost it in the fridge and heat it up ever so slightly by putting the bottle into hot water to take the chill off, as my DS didn't have warmed milk. It is not a silly question. To be honest, I had to stop and think about what I did myself, as it is five years ago I was pregnant the first time around and I seem to have forgotten quite a few bits and bobs!

I am sure I will have a panic and will be posting madly for baby advice soon!

sadly yes! DH made a bet with me before the 20wk scan, that if we were having a girl I could name her with no interference from him. If we were having a boy, then he could name her with no interference from me. He made me, against my better judgement, swear numerous oaths to honour the bet..... Fast forward 17 weeks and he has really started to 'dislike' the name I chose and have been calling DD2 for the last few months and has said it was 'just a silly bet'!!! All of his suggestions are ok, but just, you know, meh. We absolutely cannot agree and have less than 3 weeks to decide.......

As for your DH, I totally agree....I would NOT be happy with DH wanting to call our child after and ex......

I'm really not wanting to name our baby 'after' my ex. It is unfortunately just the case that my favourite boys name for years (way before i met the ex) happens to be his name...bah..fed up.:(

Back to the drawing board I guess. Boys names are hard enough as it is.

i know its prob a crap way to think, but honestly we do all the hard work when it comes to pregnancy/birth..so surely we should get a bit of a reprieve when it comes to the name! Perhaps that's just me being wholely hormonal and selfish though!

Still I suppose the name is a big effing deal so both of you have to be hapy with it (see I do have a rational part of my brain still functioning too!)

MV I really do think you need to not consider that name as an option unfortunately. I know we are all rational people and it doesn't mean anything other than you like the name but I know how I would feel if OH wanted to call any little girl we had emma, its not a horrid name but it just wouldn't fly. Boys names are harder so you have my sympathies, I've been quite relaxed about the name this time.

rockinbikergal I love jack daniel think its fab but I am sad lol Generally people don't use their middle names anyway so don't really see a problem with it, probably doesn't help your argument sorry x

Out of curiosity what is the name??? Might be an extra one to add to my list(which I think I accidentally binned:eek:)
and yep hormones will be making it into a bigger deal than it is...trust me! I spent ages hunting down the 'right' moses basket stand last night at the right price until DH made me see reason and asked why we couldn't just get a different moses basket or different stand, gave him all the reasons why and then burst out laughing/crying coz I suddenly realised how ridiculous i was being about it all:rotfl::rotfl: he agreed to come with me to get one tomorrow....he's going to be my voice of reson apparently:p

    I love Joshua...its on my short-list off names :)

The other 3, 2 of which are ex's names, Hubby has the same problem, just not happening and I can understand why....wouldn't be calling my little girl after one of his ex's, lol......Luca I hadn't even considered but it's lovely :)

It's actually quite nice to have my hubby sitting across from me having discussions about the discussions going on coz this has brought up the name debate again and I think we can know fight it out once and for all hehe
