  • People with the third baby on the way, what are you doing about cars??

We have a Grand Scenic and a Clio, usually I nip about in the Clio and leave DH to take the 'big' car - much easier for parking at school etc, we are just going to have to swap over - which he is delighted at! I much prefer the Clio, but will not get the pram wheels in :( I still think it will be a footer to get all 3 seatbelts tied, but at least DD's are older so able wiggle seats about and tie themselves in probably will have to put oldest DD in middle (still got full seat belt).

Hngrymummy - glad all went well yesterday for you. They do measure the Nuchal Fold but I don't think they use is as a DS test at this stage, we had ours yesterday too, and they specifically told us that they could not look for any DS indicators at this scan - we never had triple test done either - she did say though that they make the most checks on the spine at this scan as that is where most problems are spotted, could it be related to the spina bifida checks as I know they check the skin at the base of the spine for this. Our was very wriggly too and I had to move all over too to get it moving! kept the legs closed! She still thinks its a girl though!

Such rubbish weather today went shopping with a friend and spent ages looking at all the girly stuff!! :D

Good luck all - wouldn't it be nice to get 3 babies in 1 day!
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Crikey - all this talk of car seats confuses me!! At least I've only got 1 to worry about at the mo!! We''ve got a Ford CMax so plenty of room for baby and dog - dog in boot obviously :D

I was in TK Maxx and they had a Tommee Tippee steriliser and bottles and teats and stuff for about £30. Is this a good price? It did say it had a Mother & Baby Gold award?

I hope we get a baby boom today. Tres exciting :)

    I've been Money Tipped!

Keeping the same car as both other children are at school now so very unlikely to be all in the car at the same time, if we do all need to be in the same car OH would most probably volunteer to stay home so eldest can go in front.

I got our TT steriliser and bottle set in Tesco for £20 reduced from £40 but today I saw a TT "essentials kit" on Babies R uS site for £60 down from £120 if you are interested in a deal...not sure if it is all relevant but since it's fresh in the memory, thought I'd mention it.

Did you get a job as an elf then?:rotfl:

depends on the type of steriliser you want.....the electric steriliser is on offer in Tesco atm for £19.99 comes with all the bits & bobs:)
I went for the microwave steriliser as it can also be used as a cold water steriliser if you go on holiday or the microwave packs up;) its nice and neat too...will live on top of microwave when not actually in use, its currently half price £10.99 in Boots AND you get advantage points:D more if you join the parent & toddler club:D
    1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
    [STRIKE]Car Loan = £0[/STRIKE] CCCS Total = £30,246.88 Total Debt Paid off - 32.78%
DFD [STRIKE]Nov[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Sept[/STRIKE]Aug 2018:o Only 75 payments to go:)
  • Thanks for the car answers. We really need a 4x4, mud, driving in the ditch and snow, middle of nowwhere territory. It would be so much cheaper if we didn't.

Wonder how the labours are going.

See, I'm such a dunce, I don't even know how many bottles I need if any. I plan on BF'ing but who knows what will happen?? I keep buying clothes at the moment as that's the only think I'm sure of!!

No, no job as elf yet - although I may well apply. Don't think you get many pregnant elves :D

Oh, Fuzzy Muff, you're losing your linky touch. That Tesco set is OOS :(

The one in TK Maxx had bottles and all kinds if fancy stuff in it.

    Hmmmmmm.

What do you have now, if it has 5 seats it may be possible to squeeze them in somehow, depends on ages too. If we had had a 5 seater car we wouldn't have bothered getting a bigger one but both the older ones are in boosters now and OH would really only come with us for days out, so maybe once a month but more in the summer.
  • Its a freelander, but DD1 has a Britax 1-2-3 evolva which is huge, DD2's seat is not too big, but she will outgrow it soon - cue another Britax probably - and the baby seat is a maxi cosi. There are three belts, but no room to get the three seats in.

Also there's a puppy dog pending!!
