Hi everyone,
Sorry I've not been back on but I've found the demands of new motherhood pretty overwhelming!! We also had a problem with Joe's feeding and subsequent high weight loss and were admitted to hospital at the weekend, but got it turned around and he's now gaining weight fast, which is a huge relief.
Huge congratulations to Courgette!!!! :j:j
And to anyone else who may have given birth - I'm afraid I only went far enough to check on Courgette. Hope you're all well. xxx
I'm going to post this then see if I can get a pic on but I don't know if it will work so it may take me some time! Which for me could mean days!0 -
I can't do it. How do I post a picture please?0

Sammy - my friend was a pregnant elf last year for a department store. Admittedly she wasn't huge but really enjoyed it!!
I'm just back from a facial where I woke myself up snoring - very embarrassing0 -

Hello there - mine have hardly grown at all - it's been very disappointing. It's my first so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm feeling cheated0 -
While I'm here, I'm going to be queue-jumping more than expected.
Had a routine appointment today where they found my BP was through the roof (170/95) whereas it's been fine up to this point and they found protein in my urine as well. So they think I've got/am developing pre-eclampsia so have bumped my induction to tomorrow, rather than Monday as planned.
I'm having a little private panic about this - it's made it very real to think that in 24-48 hours there will be a baby here. Am hoping I'll calm down before tomorrow morning or my BP will be even higher0 -
Big bird is it your first? If so a new mini would be more than adequate for one baby, our second car (in other words OH toy) when we had the first 2 was a classic mini and we could go for days out in it, pushchair in the foot well for DD, baby carrier for DS and changing bag (along with the essential tools for just incase) in the boot. If I still had my 206 I would have managed some how, probably DD in the front, 2 kids seats in the back and one adult in the back on the odd occassions we all go out but the lupo was going to be impossible with 3 kids - I did suggest OH meet us places on his motorbike but it didn't go down too well.
Lilac my boobs sounds like yours, there was never any milk with DS but I do wonder if it would have ever come in if I'd kept trying so I will do my best this time but I won't be too upset because I know it makes no difference what so ever eventually you have no idea which kids were breastfed and which were not.
Plymouth that is embarassing lol. How are you getting on with the tummy sleeping, I am starting to struggle with it now and often wake up in a completely different position. Much harder to fall asleep though now I'm more on my side than front0 -

I've got a C-Max too, hopefully enough room for 3 dogs and bubs! I love my car it doesn't feel big to drive. Hubby has a short wheel base Shogun, which will take the car seat but but won't be used regularly for family outings.0 -
Good luck for tomorrow, sweaty betty. Looks like there's several new arrival announcements looming :j
Plymouth, I did that onceYes, very embarrassing :rotfl:
Boobs: I'm sure mine have shrunk a bit over the last few days. Not back to their usual size, but they do seem a bit smaller. Dunno what that's all about (where's the shruggy shoulders smiley when you need it?!)
Yes, it is our first, MERFE. And it is a new Mini (well, not a new new Mini, but the older generation of the new ones). Our car seat is pretty big so I doubt it will fit in the back. I'm figuring the Mini will get used if there's just one adult in the car, Flump will go on the front passenger seat (with the airbag switched off) and I'll just pop one of the back seats down to get the buggy in the back. If DH and I are out together, we'll take his car. We did consider getting a buggy/travel system that would fit easily in the Mini, but eventually decided on something sturdier as we need it to be able to go off-road, and also we preferred a seat that can lie completely flat. Since we have 2 cars, we figured it made more sense to get a buggy and seat that should meet our needs and at least fit one of them, rather than something that would fit in both but not really be suitable for the places we need to go or long journeys we need to make. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0
