Oh and you may be pleased to hear I THINK(but really hoping I'm wrong!) I have the startings of 2 stretchmarks on my underbelly:eek: There's 2 unexplained red dots that have been there since I woke up this morning and my belly is feeling really heavy today so me thinks they're just gonna get worse! Ah well, I had a good run:cool:1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

MV, you're only 23 weeks still, is that right? It's completely normal not to feel anything yet, I was over 26 weeks before I felt anything with DS. It's hard not to compare yourself to other people though, I know. I have little bumps, and keep thinking bubs can't be growing as fast as other people's who have bigger bumps, but it's not true, it's just the way things are. The upside of feeling movements late is that they are much more definite once you do start to feel them, and then you can be very sure that there can't be much wrong if they can boot your bladder that hard!
I know you have complicated medical arrangements so you can have the hospital you want for the birth, but is it possible to register temporarily with a local GP - I'm sure you can get a short term temporary registration, like you would get if you were on holiday and needed a GP - might be worth looking into if it makes things easier for you?0 -
MV - I've been told to ring the triage unit at the hospital if I'm concerned about baby movements - the number should be on the front of your green notes?
Saying that - my friend couldn't feel anything until way past 24 weeks. I'm not 100% sure what I'm feeling is movements.

Thanks everyone for the words and advice.
I've spoken to the duty doctor at my surgery..midwife only goes in there once a week on Fridays, but she suggested I come in either this pm or tomorrow and they'll listen to the heartbeat and check all is well.
I'm going to go in tomorrow afternoon. Praying that we hear something, as if they can't find it, I'm going to be even worse!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Think it's coz I'm not used to walking anymore:o I rely on my car way too much! but hubby has it for the foreseeable(few days) coz his is boogered!
MV are you sure what you're feeling is wind??? When bubs 1st started moving I thought it was wind too but now I realise it was a mix of bubs shifting and releasing my trapped gas so each bubba movement resulted in DH hitching himself further across the sofa:p:rotfl: [STRIKE]Have you a doppler or anything just to reassure you bubs is fine?[/STRIKE] Ignore that didn't see the last bit of your post:o Do you know anyone with a doppler or is there a walk-in NHS centre nearby??
Fuzz - the 'windy' feelings I get really do just feel like that...gurgling and rumbly. Like I used to get before I was preg, often accompanied by a bit of trumpy!
I think it's just becuase the people I have spoken to and stuff I have read on here by other folk maybe not as far along having lots of movement etc has just worried me a bit.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
MV I am sure all is fine, I was the same when I wasn't feeling movements, but bubs was v active in there. Now I get a lot of movement then nothing for ages, and I've never had the kicking in the ribs that everyone talks about! Good that you can go in as will put your mind at rest. I found that eventually I felt movements when lying back in bed for a while, had to have a really cold/fizzy drink first and really concentrate on it and I realised there were flutters there, I'd just been expecting big kicks!
putting knickers on, def sitting down...on the loo or edge of the bed!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Legs, I was told that a pregnant woman should not try and put pants on standing up... It's bad for the pelvis... Sit on the edge of the bed to do it...
Pawpurrs, I don't so much suffer with insomnia, I can drop off to sleep fine I'm so exhausted by bedtime... But if I get disturbed (baby or husband or 6yo or wee...) I have a real problem getting back off again... Most nights are better now though, I find myself sleeping straight through as long as everyone else does lol...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
