    Morning all.

Still no news from Courgette! Eek!

Had a busy morning already, I have my physio appointment at 11.30am but decided to walk to the station with OH to see him off to work and then went to pick up a parcel from the Post Office - it was a set of Disney books and a Lion King clock that I ordered from The Wonderful World of Disney - must remember to send the two not-free books back and cancel the account asap! Quite good if you can remember to do it though, you get The Princess and The Frog, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Bambi, Lady and the Tramp and Up for free along with the Lion King clock which is cute.

Then I went to Tesco to get a bottle of sparkles for a girl at work who brought in a massive bag of toys for me - ended up getting two curry-meal-bags reduced so that's tomorrow night's tea sorted and another night as well.

If I wasn't sure I was feeling baby movements before, I certainly am now! Thump thump thump...it's much lower down than anything else I've felt :)

    Fingers crossed for Courgette :)

Lovely pics nene, Scarlett is gorgeous.

Had our tour of the maternity unit last night. Fairly brief as they were absolutely chocka so couldn't show us in any of the post natal rooms as they were all in use. We did get to see the labour room with the pool in though and they said it's very rare for it not to be available when someone wants it, so fingers crossed I'll be able to use it.

While we were there we also bumped into DH's friend and his wife, whose baby arrived a few weeks ago at 29 weeks. Good news as she's doing well, out of the incubator now and her heart looks like it'll be fine. They're hopeful they should be able to take her home sometime around her due date in mid-October. The mum was telling me she went in to be checked over as she'd had a headache for 2 days and 12 hours later was giving birth

I'm 33 weeks now. My older sister - Mum's first - arrived 6 weeks early. I hope I don't take after my Mum in that respect as that would mean I'll be a mummy next week!! I'm sooo not ready yet!

Looks like Courgette has agreed to be induced: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2716025

Good luck honey - try to just remember that at the end of all this you will have your beautiful baby in your arms and everything will hopefully seem like a distant memory. We're all thinking about you xxxx

  • Fuzz thats fantastic news about your friend!! :j Fingers crossed for your mum now aswell!! My gran is going through it all at the moment so i can imagine how you must be feeling its the most horrible thing in the world!

lillian those first kicks are amazing arent they! freaked me out a bit though because it was the first time i really thought "omg there really IS a baby in there" even though i had seen him at the scan, the kicks make it soooo more real!

just back from docs and blood pressure is back to normal woohoo.
  • just a quickie from me (which is probably what got me into this mess :rotfl:) but for the ladies that are taking iron tablets have you tried Spa Tone? it is a liquid iron - available from boots and usually always on 3 for 2, you take it with a small amount of fruit juice and does not give you any of the symptoms that the tablets do. Highly recommend it!

    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

  • 2girlsfor me - ive heard soo many good reports about it, although its important to start taking it before you iron levels are low, i asked the consultant about it and he said for pregnant women it would only sustain iron levels, really really wish i had of started taking it earlier now i have to take the dreaded iron tablets :(
