Can't imagine how you must feel! Although I reckon you should change your sig to say mid-sept now!:rotfl:
You feeling ok about it all now???
Fingers crossed for more movement soon eh?:) x

Gawd, I am trying! It is honestly starting to feel like it's not gonna happen. I'm honestly wondering about whether I should just agree to be induced. I really don't want to but this hanging around is really starting to take it's toll and I'm turning into a right crabby old b!tch

Has anyone been prescribed antibiotics in Pregnancy?

Just spoke to my GP and she wants me to take a course of penicillin for this cold/infection I have.

I thought you weren't really meant to take antibio's when preggo...??

Obviously she's a doctor, but I'm still a bit wary....

Hi honey xx just nipping out of lurkdom to say it's fine xx don't worry xx I've had two courses of amoxicillin and one of a stronger one that specifically stated not to give to pregnant women xx I'll explain further why they say this later as I'm only on my stoopid phone at the mo xx don't worry though xx take them and get better xx

I can't imagine how frustrating it is!Are you having anything like RLT to try & help bubs along?? there's report it can cause BHs, that might get bubs moving? lol
If you don't want to be induced and so long as bubs is fine & your having regular checks then surely theres no need???

As for being a crabby b!tch...me too and I'm nowhere near due yet:p:rotfl:I'm constantly hankering for a fight:eek: but for me it's a different kind of frustration!:(

Speaking of RLT what is/will everyone else be doing??? I'm 32weeks now and want to start:) been googling and worked out a timetable for it:o but curious to know what other do/did :)

I've never taken any notice of things like RLT, pineapple, curry etc etc but since both of mine have been massively overdue maybe I will for next time :o

I'm booked in for a homebirth and would really like this but the longer I go the more chance there is of meconium which would mean a transfer in so it might be less stressful to just go in and see if I can have a 6 hour discharge. It's my birthday on 13th and I also, in another life many years ago, had a termination on Sept 11th so I'd like to avoid both these dates. I'm thinking about maybe seeing about going in on Thursday, have pessaries etc then hopefully have babe on Friday, DS can go to his dad's for the weekend then we'll be home in time for the weekend.

I just can't work out if I'm having contractions or not. I'm trying to time them but I can't work out when they're starting or ending, just the middle bit when they're quite sore. They're about 5 mins apart and lasting about a minute but if I can't tell when they're starting and can speak through them then i guess they're not real?

  • typing with fingers crossed is very difficult, but fingers are firmly crossed that you are starting your contractions, may they get more regular and stronger! :D

:rotfl::rotfl:start your eviction plan woman!:p I'm hoping that baby wil be here around 37/38weeks:o:o I know it sounds bad and I'll probs be slated:o and bubs will come when its ready blah blah BUT I live 100miles away from my side of the family and my Mums half term falls when I'll be 37/38wks gone which would be ideal for her to come down and be one of the 1st people to see bubs which is really important to me especially with everything going on atm and hopefully she'll be over all the ops etc at that point too:D

I can officially come out of lurkdom as maternity leave has begun for me! (well.... annual leave until next week)

I am so rubbish at posting, honestly. :o I have been reading the thread regularly and would like to say a big good luck to Smartie for today and humungous labour vibes to Courgette! :D

The last week has been very dramatic for me. I was in a car accident this time last week which triggered off contractions. I wouldn't even have known tbh if I hadn't of gone to hospital to be checked over and get another anti-d jab to be on the safe side. Hooked up to a monitor and was having regular contractions (just felt like stitch like pains in my belly). The consultant prepped me saying at 35 weeks, baby would be more than fine and alarm bells started ringing. Gladly, the contractions (although still regular) tapered off throughout the night and managed to get the ketones out of my wee although I think they were only there because I had nothing to eat since lunchtime and little to drink since 4pm when I was checked at 2am the next morning. Was allowed out the following day with strict instructions to rest until baba is here.

With 25 days to go until EDD, its driving me crazy!
Speaking of RLT what is/will everyone else be doing??? I'm 32weeks now and want to start:) been googling and worked out a timetable for it:o but curious to know what other do/did :)

I started drinking one cup at 34 weeks and have just upped this to 2 cups at 36 weeks. I've actually got used to the taste of it now. With a spoonful of sugar, it tastes like warm ribena. :rotfl:

Hope everyone is okay. Sorry for the dramatic post!

Hi all, been checked out this morning and can have a home birth if need be in case I don't have anyone to look after the kids or in case labour goes too quickly for me to get to hospital. But I think my MW will tell me off - she took more blood today to check my iron levels and I have been naughty and not taken my iron tablets! :p:o:o:o so I have reluctantly taken an iron tablet today. Am supposed to take three a day but its hard enough on trips to the loo - sorry for tmi! :o

Also they had to send off a wee sample for me today as it revealed I had 3 +++ of blood in it apparently - which could mean either another infection I have or my plug has been coming away and I have not noticed.

Will await MW call later on and see how much of a telling off I get :D

Best wishes to Smartie and huge labour vibes for Courgette! :)
