  • MV - I have the normal placenta position and I didn't feel mine until well after 24wks! Like you at every scan mione was wringgling around loads so didn't worry too much! To be honest I still don't feel loads of movements like people describe on here either. Certainly never had anything uncomfortable like a boot in the ribs. Mine have always felt the same - like a pulse almost, that has become stronger the further along I got. Never seen anything move belly wise either, although i'm only 32weeks so maybe that'll come?!
  • Thanks guys.

I do feel the odd bubbly feeling but put that down to being a bit windy a lot of the time!

MV its probably sometimes wind and sometimes baby. Some people describe it as bubbley. All 3 of mine have felt different when they kicked. DS was the proper butterflies, then as I got bigger if OH blew raspberries on my belly the baby would jump. DD used to get hic cups alot and this one is really odd but is now kicking right up by my ribs but mostly not hard kicks. As your bump gets bigger and moves up the kicks will hopefully be higher and you'll not mistake them for wind then and they do the odd hard kick which helps. OH has only felt baby kick once and even that was pure luck.

Smartie I'd say give yourself a little rest and forget the bathroom till you are back espcially if you are going to leave 2 boys home alone for a few days with it, then when you are back OH will have to do it cos you can't possible having just had major surgery. One more c-section tip - remind your OH that the drive home when he picks you up he has to drive the slowest he ever has and right turns at roundabouts mean first gear - seriously. Good luck I hope you have a good experience and baby is with you soon enough xx
  • MV i cant remember if you said you had an anterior placenta or not, but my friend is due the same time as me so she is 37 weeks and still cant feel much at all even though bubs is big enough to physically see her belly moving she cant actually feel too much inside her IYSWIM.

Smartie hopefully when you see him/her you will just know what they are meant to be called. well thats what everone is telling me!

My movements feel either like my stomach rumbling, a little bubbly feeling up near my ribs on the right hand side, or a shifting - like Ive gone down in a lift too fast!

A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • A quick question.

I have a corker of a headache (overtired and dehydrated yesterday, and now working on a computer for an urgent project). Is there anything I can take?

    Thanks

  • Alas, I'm a little too late with the water, but will try the paracetomol.

    Thanks
