Gems - Thank you! I really want a natural birth but suffer from SPD and thought I may have to fight for the right to be induced early but hopefully I get a consultant with the same opinion as your MW. DD1 was a 10lber and if she hadnt come out the sun roof planned I think I might have struggled slightly with a natural birth lol. Slowly but surely I will build a case or it lol.

hope baby courgette has made an appearance! *fingers crossed*

My midwife said if its actually the baby thats big she will refer me to the consultant to discuss being induced, but realisticly i wont be scanned til next week 37 weeks, not back to midwife until 38 weeks - so unlikely to see a consultant until 39 weeks - so its unlikely they will induce me early, but maybe just not let me go over. which would be good!!
Hope you get the birth you want - maybe bring it up with your midwife sooner rather than later, i wish we had discussed it 2 weeks ago!!

    morning

I only got my Boots stuff on my due date ... although that was quite a long time ago now :o

Guess what! Nothing. Nada. Zilch.:o

Midwife took one look at me last night and decided not to do a sweep which was fine with me, I think she recognised a woman on the edge when she saw one :rotfl:So, today is term + 17 or 10 depending on which date we're going with. DS was T + 17 so this one has beaten his record.

Groan. I think I might contact Guiness Book of Records

The baby texts have started!! Someone's already booked their visiting spot for Weds:D

I didn't tell anyone I was going in other than immediate family. I came home next day so they couldn't visit lol... and I could go to bed to hide if anyone came to the house!

It's bonkers isn't it. I seriously can't believe I had the same due date as Xmas and Pigpen and their babies are getting on to being 1 month old. Your babe (Smartie) was originally due on my birthday, I can't believe there is even a possibility now we could have them on the same day!

    Courgette - possibly an elephant??

I should get finger out bum and join the baby clubs. my mum joined one read learn and play or something and she was sent a soft cube thats about 8 inches and has lots of textures for the kids and nursery rhymes embroidered on it. Our just turned 2 year old has claimed it as hers though. It was a real quality gift though.

Fell out with OH at 6am this morning, I had a dream that i went into labour and he wasn't answering his phone and then switched it off. I had the baby alone and i tried again and a woman answered, she said he was sleeping and she wasn't disturbing him no matter what, his mum then tried and the woman said that she was his wife and he was to be left alone. He then appeared in May when the baby was 4 months old like he just came home from work and couldn't understand why I was going nuts. I told him when I woke and he said oh that would be quite funny actually so I am not speaking to him.

    Stoopid laptop keeps crashing:mad:

Experienced section ladies (inc pigpen while you're around;)) I have big sexy cheapy knickers but would it be a good idea to have a mad panic shop for some disposables?? Are they more comfortable?

I really can't see me being out the next day pigpen, with all my other health probs:( I don't mind having nice people visit as I'll be stuck in my private room all lonely:cry:

Wow pukkamum - that is a bargain. :T

@don - where are the home birthing programs? Sky? Are there any on freeview? I can't wait for One Born Every Minute to come back...although last time I looked it was due to be around February - so I'll either scare myself silly or it'll be after I've given birth.

Nope nope and nope to the pants lady :D:D Stick to what ya got. so long as the elastic does not go where the section line is.........aim for the elastic to run along tummy button line if that makes more sense.

I had my c/s on the Friday and came home on the Wednesday......:o
