    Congrats MOTM :D:D:D

Just placed an order with Vertbaudet too, but I had a code sent to me, it was £10 off a £20 spend free delivery and free baby dinner set in a cute little bag:D If anyone want that code just let me know.

Also I was really hoping to have a waterbirth however have now been put right off by my boss - she's a consultant clinical biochemist and told me not to do it! Now I don't know what to do!!

Sorry, i've not read back but at 37 I finally have a ring on a ladies finger (she picked it this afternoon with my girls after school). Never ever wanted to get married and I still won't for a long time (we are going to wait for the new twins to be old enough to be page boys/bridesmaids, whatever)

I hope everyone has had a good day and apologies once more for not reading back. I'll have a proper read over the weekend. Thnak you for your wishes today.

I'd like all ours to be bridesmaids too, that's why we're not rushing :p Also I don't want to be held up or limp down the aisle eve if we only end up with a registry office job :o

Glad it all went well for you though :D
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o

Risk of infection to the baby - she's a specialist in neonates :(

Was she any more specific about what the risks were from, and why they were particular to water births? Sorry for the interrogation, but I am interested and want to do some proper research, it's not something I've heard before.
  • Congrats MOTM!!

Smartie great news about your friend :)

Tinks..glad you are feeling a bit chirpier..and exciting about your due date coming forward..so what date does that give you now then?

I can't remember who mentioned buying some maternity wear from Mama's and Papa's (maybe Giz??), but I ordered some things online too, they have a 20% sale on at the moment :j

Anyway it's all arrived today (free delivery too!), and all the things are really nice and fit very well..so I would recommend them to anyone looking for some nice mat things. I bought 3 tops and a long cardigan and saved over £30 with the discount!..v pleased :D
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • ooh no I was really keen on a waterbirth too...:(

She said that they are cleaned but not to a standard that would remove infections - I think it probably only applies to hospitals where there will be lots of different people using it. I would imagine for a homebirth with a new pool the risks would be less. I was really keen on a waterbirth and want to look more into this, however she obviously knows her stuff. It's not something I had ever thought about myself. Sorry for worrying people:(
