Have a look on the VW site where it says used cars. You tick on the model and then you can tick on the trims. Have a look and compare the trims.
As far as I understand (and Im blondish) the SE TDI is the same as mine, bit of luxury trim (in my case its the new model so it has self parking aswell ) The GT is the sporty model which costs more to insure
Maybe that's where i went wrong, i didnt click onto used cars

SE is reasonable spec trim... The GTDI is still reasonable spec trim and is same as the GTI and will have the GTI Interior and suspension setup.0 -

GTI as in GTTDI.... Sorry
The GTTDI will have the GTI trim and suspension set up.
There a few different engine outputs aswell for the GTTDI and thr TDI SE...0 -
lol, the GTI and GTTDI are the same trim level, but the GTI is Petrol and the GTTDI is diesel. So the interior/exterior spec will be the same.0

Cools, now i'm getting somewhere. If a GTTDI is out of my price range, whats the next lettering down? TDI SE? or are there models in between0

It may just be marked up as "TDI" if it's an S or SE though.
The trim level down from GTI is SE, I think.0 -

They dont like making things easy do they! Am i right in thinking the S/SE is only the interior/exterior and nothing to do with the engine?
I'm currently driving a N reg fiesta that looks like a shed with wheels so I'm not overly fussed on how it looks0 -
