I've been reverted back to the original name I used before the changes and have been told I can't use the one I recently changed to. This has happened to a number of people so no, don't think you can.:(
I think you can re-register though under a different name ... you've only posted a couple of times, so I would do this.:)Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
thats the best idea I think
reregister using the name you wantI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I have noticed some members have joined using either their full names or e-mail addresses as usernames, this is not a clever thing to do either for them or for the site in general.
It might be a good idea to ensure the sign-up / registration page clearly states NOT to use these details as a member name. It's been so long since I've seen that page it might already clearly state that, if that's the case then a special message in the newbies board or the occassional announcement should help to sink the message homeMany people are very new to the internet & are not always aware how easy it could be for someone to find out about them....

I think it would be a very good idea to have a few pointers about choosing a username on the sign-up page - maybe bulletpointed so people'll read them.
I think one of the things that should be stressed is that people NEVER use the same username here as they would on an important financial account website.
We have a site here where people openly discuss what credit-cards etc they have - and list their birthday in their profile which is an often used security check0
