Having a lovely time pottering in the garden.

Just come in to start dinner and have a quick cuppa and then I think I'll make the most of the sunshine and pop back out there.

Valli is this your birthday holiday - is your birthday this week? If i dont see you later have a brilliant time and take of yourself xxx
this IS my birthday holiday - but as I cannot take time of work when it is my birthday I'm having to go now. Birthday's in Sept actually...

Nice BUNS Greenbee:D Well done Slinky Malinky AKA Lamewolf

laundry washed, dried and ironed. I even stripped my bed so I will come back to (practically) clean sheets.

I'm off to offload the gerbils shortly so they aren't in the house with the cat but more importantly with the kitten Jynx, as she launches herself at the cages. If they get knocked over the gerbils might get out and eaten.

party at neightbours last night was very good - mucho sangria drunk by me but I was not too bad;) (for a change) as OH was there so I had to behave:rotfl:although me and Mrs-next-door both agreed J. Depp is a very fine actor and have agreed to give him a treat;) (together) should the opportunity arise. She might well have forgotten that, however;) but there were witnesses! (LOTS!)

and the Queen of Procrastination has not yet packed...

Everywhere had a S&S this morning. This afternoon Ive gutted the spare room and pulled everything out. One bag to go to charity shop a bag for DD and a bag to go to mums home. Have shredded/recycled piles of paperwork. Some of the files were from my job and would never be looked at again. Empty boxes decluttered as well. Then sat in the sunshine with a cuppa.

Welcome back to the returning holidaymakers.

greenbee I love the cupcakes they are beautiful.

Hugs for everyone specially Toots. Lady L and Diva.

Thank you for all the hellos. I must get on here more often. Now I am just waiting to find out if we have funding so I have spare time again. Or should I use it flying?

We have had to make my study/exercise room into a bedroom for DB who is living here. He has been on a pull out bed since DS3 came home so we are trying to get the spare bed into there as a surprise for him.

Yesterday I spent the day listing old clothes on ebay and a few ps2 games too. I hadn't realised it was free listing today.

Hex Brilliant news about DHs job!!!

Greenbee I love your cupcakes. Thanks for the tip about flat tops.

Hi Toots, hope you are doing okay :)

Moon and I went on a short walk this morning after I'd had breakfast, and Moon enjoyed eating blackberries as we went. We also found a damson tree, but there were only a few ripe ones on it, and the one I picked for Moon had a rotten middle. sick0025.gif Still, at least I know where to look for them now, as I'm sure it won't be long before the others ripen. I also saw another source of them the other day when I went on a walk.

Well weezl's nut loaf is in the oven as we speak 86435669.1YW1Soon.cooking.gif- took me a while to make it (probably because I'm not used to the recipe yet), but I'm sure it'll all be worth it. Have decided I CBA to make the bubble and squeak to go with it, so we'll just have green beans, mixed veg and gravy with it.tongue0022.gif

Moon isn't going shooting tonight as he spent the afternoon playing mini rifles at the outside range, and fell asleep whilst watching Stuart Little on the tv whilst I was cooking. rolleye0010.gif He's put the DW on, but there are still loads of dishes around that won't fit in, which is annoying, as they will be in my way.

It's pouring with rain, but Ebony cat doesn't seem to mind, and has been curled up asleep in the garden all day - he's close to the hedge which gives a little bit of protection, but he's still getting wet - I've never known a cat who likes being out in the rain like he does.86436015.yXeXKkAF.kitty2.gif

Timer has just gone off for the nut roast, so I'm off to have a look. Fingers crossed.

You have sunshine??? that's SO unfair :p

OH is on his way over... a day earlier than expected (sounds like 4 days of undivided attention from dad was enough for his teenager this time round!)... so I'd better get a move on and make the house look vaguely respectable before he gets here :o as it's covered in cupcakes and wine glasses :D
