    Happy Birthday Lil_me :bdaycake:
DS1 is now away for the night to a sleepover, he's never been to one and has already said he'll miss us. Hubby wants to go to a BBQ tonight and i really could not be bothered. He's asked MIL to babysit and she has agreed (the kids could have come) so i'll be driving and hubby having a few drinks. We've already agreed that when i say it's time to go, we go. I know already that it won't happen. He also promised to give me a hand today but he's sleeping on the sofa. :(

The kitchen is a mess and when MIL comes up she starts cleaning, it drives me mental. That sounds so ungreatful i know but when she does it,it makes me feel like crap. :(

Right WM and TD on as well as DW. Gonna do the bathroom now.

I am doing ok Mrs Chaos. I have painted a skirting board, touched up a wall (oh er mrs) wiped down the telly/modem/dvd player/cable central dust trap corner, played with my new toy (limescale remover!) in the bathroom, taken a sack full of clothes to the CS and a carrier bag of stuff to the dump. Oh and bought another new lampshade.

So not too bad. Just spent the last 20 minutes laying on my bed with a breeze thru the curtains listening to the end of a favourite CD.

Got back ache now!! Having a coffee and a sit down and then might try and do just a little more, I have little piles all stuff over the house looking for a home.......Might have to start venturing into cupboards:eek:

That is completely understandable. My MIL used to start ironing, and while I appreciate any offers of help (which I decline) just to do it without asking in someone else's house seems wrong.

Another load of washing on, sofa covers replaced, Toola Roola has been given an "up-do" :rotfl:

hi all, sorry have been neglecting the thread and the flat :o

Just been so busy at work and ended up so very tired. Then OH's ex kicked out the eldest so he's been living here and not allowed to return "until she gives permission" - well that's some weeks now and we're not sure he actually wants to go back there now anyway!

So we're broke too, waiting for child benefit - apparently they have written to her telling her someone else is wanting to claim.... bet she isn't in a hurry to fill their forms in but still. Seems unfair she's getting the child benefit, child tax credits and csa for him but refusing to allow him to stay or do anything for him  Once we get the CB, we'll contact CSA to update the current claim (for the younger one as OH's earnings have reduced) and then make a counter-claim :p

Anyhow - I've missed all the thread, what's the news?

Remove and wash bed linen. replace before bedtime!!!
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..

    Wash windows and nets/curtains
Vacuum and turn mattress before replacing fresh linen
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level 3
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
Sort through a box or bag of stuff you've not looked at in months..
    Extras
    1. Binbag dance!
    2. Wipe grotty paintwork.. touch up any bits that are looking shabby
    3. Wash windows

Vanilla have a hug it sounds like you could do with one.

Well the leaking toilet has been sorted but now the carpet has had to be pulled up in the ensuite and in the office so the floor can dry off :( I have had to empty the bookshelves and move them onto the landing so I could pull the carpet up. It must have all happened over the last few days grrr Have the prospect of a week or more with things in total disarray whilst things dry out. Feeling really fed up now as I had made some good progress recently.

Am now having to sit on a blanket box to reach the keyboard! Great for the posture NOT!

MIss A's room is still tidy and W's is a WIP but definitely coming together.
