Main problem is I'm filling my life up with nice things to do. (Well, I guess that's not really a problem!) Yesterday I went with a friend to the Quilts exhibition at the NEC, which was brilliant. This morning I slept in a bit, then had my shower and cut my hair, then went off to a sewing group I'd been told about. Enjoyable, sat and stitched and nattered, and had lovely chocolate cake and coffee!
    !
    Def. not a problem:)

I agree about the Quilt Festival. I went with a friend a few years ago (stayed for the week-end) Absolutely fantastic - wish we could afford to do it again. Sitll laugh when I remember us trying to get our cases to close for going home :o
I hope the sewing group is a regular one you can go to.

    Morning all

I got up at 7.15 to wake DS1 and didn't go back to bed for a little snooze - feel much better for it.

    My list for today:
buy birthday cards/presents for the party DS2 is going to tomorrow
    [STRIKE]tidy kitchen (didn't do that last night)[/STRIKE]
    WM/DW/TD (if necessary)
    finish decluttering DS2's room
trip to the skip and other places to get rid of various bits of rubbish
text NN to ask if they need bread and milk (due back from holiday sometime)

I'm sure there's more, so I may well be back to edit. Oh, I need to have a discussion with DS1. He wants to give up the weekly paperround and find a different job. He's asked for an extra £5 a week while he's looking, so we need to agree what he should be doing around the house anyway, and what he's going to do in addition to earn the extra cash. I intend to get my money's worth. ;)

You probably won't see this, but I hope your busy day goes well and you have some fun, kazw.
    Happy flying (or holidaying), everyone.

    Morning All

I'll be flying today as I need to help my nana to clean their caravan as it's changeover day. Other than that not sure what we're doing today. DH goes home tomorrow so weather permitting we are going to Greenwood Forest Park and then DH can go home from there and we'll come back here.

Have a good holiday sammr and invisible cabbage - and anyone else who's going that I've missed.

Sammr - hope the kids are feeling better soon and you have a great birthday on Monday.

    Hugs Hellyboo.

    Have a good day all

Helly... they sure can... sending a plague of fleas for kh alone...

Could they be directed towards a certain *ahem* area please?
And well done on losing the baby weight! I've decided that when DS1 starts preschool on September the 8th I'm going back to Slimming World  I lost 3 stone last year but put it all back on (and more) while I was pregnant  Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track... Also will have my 6 week check next week at some point and providing all is well (my section wound split a bit when bub was 2 weeks but it should be healed enough now) I have no excuse to start exercising again... But I'm going to treat myself to some new clothes and possibly a haircut on payday next week - counting down the days.

Thank you everyone for the hugs etc. Just going to potter around the house today - nothing too strenuous I need to defrazzle. At some point I need to sort out the conservatory a bit as I can't make it to the back door without tripping over 11ty billion toys, but aside from that I'll just stay on top of the washing and make sure the LR and kitchen are presentable.

Hope everyone going to hols has nice weather and has fun, and everyone else, have a nice weekend!
    Hx
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

    WW 37lb (2 STONE 9lbs! :j ) lost since July, 11tybillion to go...
  • Need to do some long haul flying this weekend :)

    Todays plans

2 maybe 3 lots of washing depending on the weather
Tidy kitchen ready for a deep clean tomorrow
De hair as many of Spikes hairs from the house
    Declutter and tidy lounge
    Hoover down and stairs
    DW on
Sort the ironing pile for tomorrow
Long walk for spike to wear him out
Water baskets (think it may be a bit late for 2 of them)

    Tomorrow I will attack upstairs
    Have a good day all

hello everyone! haven't been online for a few days but I've still been flying!

had a major fluff-up on wednesday when i took ds to our local city to kit him out with his new blazer and tie for secondary. its about a 13 mile away, got all the way there and parked up only to realise i left my wallet at home... not very mse wasting all that fuel. BUT, i did take him to a park where we sat and hand fed squirrels, that is free, very mse!:money:

my friend has offered to go to the shop for me on monday instead as i'm back at work, so that will save me going again today.

    i havent followed the lists for the last couple of days due to not being online but here's what i have done;

stripped the beds and washed all bedding
    cleaned down the kitchen again
    2 x binbag dances
3 further loads of clothes washing
cleaned the bathroom, including tiles and woodwork

all in all quite a productive week! :j still not done though i want to get some stuff done from my extras list today and tomorrow before work on monday.

well done and thanks again all you flyers, i will try to join next week too, evening flying, ds is at his grandmas so i should be able to.

    hugs to all

    Morning all

Well for the first time in almost a week I have had a good nights sleep and I feel just about normal again :D No dizziness when I got up but I have had a tablet to be sure. I don't want to suddenly feel horrible again later today.

Spent most of yesterday slowly sorting and tidying to recover us to the position we were in the week before I felt ill. Achieved that and more in lots of 5 min bursts and 5/10 min breaks.

Unfortunately I did discover a leak in the garage which originates in the ensuite so have recruited Dad to help me sort that today. Looking into it yesterday I think it is to do with the overflow on the loo which in turn seems to have been caused by the ballcock joint not closing fully and therefore dripping all the time and overflowing. It's quite hard water round here and I suspect lime scale on the washer is the root of the problem, so on a precautionary note I think we will check all the loos (3) whilst we are sorting this one.

Miss A is still in bed :rotfl: she has had a busy week with a sleepover at a friends and 3 busy days, but her bedroom is still tidy :)

Kazw blimey you like to set yourself challenges don't you! Hope you have a good time.

    Have a good day all.

ETA Just as I posted, Miss A surfaced!
