  • Ds2 has found a 'clean' t-shirt on his floordrobe with big stains down the front. Now i saw these when i shoved it in the Wm earlier this week and assumed it was the fence paint from where, no doubt, he had worn his best top to paint fence with and not overalls. And it washed out of everything else. Well stain still there and he brought it too me asking if i can do anything with it (not one of his cheap tesco tops). Apparently he had a nose bleed. So question is

can i still get a blood out of cotton t-shirt after it has been washed and td on non-cool settings? Many thanks in anticipation of flylady wisdom winging its way to the cabbage patch.

DH has been a real star today and virtually finished outside of conservatory! It looks fab - just need to put the guttering back up. Hopefully that will keep it going for another few years.

I had a sort round in the kitchen, and have cleared some out as DH is going to have a furniture move round tomorrow, hopefully giving us a bit more space in the conservatory, and worktop space in the kitchen. Well, thats the plan, anyway! Also cleared out most of a bookcase in DSs room, another step towards clearing it for decorating. Luckily DS did the running up and down the stairs for me, which helped out a lot.

Hoping to get the downstairs hoovered tomorrow, if DH brings down Mr Dyson, and the kitchen straight. Well thats the plan, anyway

Have quickly read fred, hugs, congrats, commiserations as required, too tired to remember individuals Im afraid. Have a good weekend everyone - lilo

I'd start by using cold water and a bar of white hand soap and giving it a good scrub to see if that lifts it. Have you got any stain removers? There is a thread on here on stains, I'll see if I can find it.

Helly... they sure can... sending a plague of fleas for kh alone...

Bills paid for another week.. :D
Payments sorted for September and October.. I have got 2 weeks next month where I don't have to make any payments so can make a good start on the christmas shopping/saving/budgetting.. I only buy bargains so it depends what I come across.

I need to make a list of those I need to buy for.. though I have last years list I can update.. and add Freja to.

I just treated myself to a new top for OH's sisters wedding (4 weeks tomorrow!).. so hopefully it will fit.. I am not quite back to my pre-pregnancy weight (1 stone off.. after putting on 3.5 stone that isn't too horrific!!)

The 2 large girls have been given cash for the argos vouchers KH got them for their respective birthdays.. what do teenage girls want argos vouchers for? He'd have been better off giving them the cash.. I reckon he got them free from somewhere.. Anyway.. I am goin to check out travel cots.. we need one for OH's mums so I'll check out their selection.. failing that I shall put them towards the DS XL I am after getting OH for christmas..

I have achieved next to nothing today..

3 loads of washing dried and folded
    1 load washing done
    DW done (OH did it)
    Freja weighed (7lb 3)
Small amount of vital shopping done.. one shop only!
LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14
Hope to be debt free until the day I die

Managed most of what I wanted despite grotty kids and OH. Dinner ruined by OH deciding Jake's colic is my fault and yelling at me. He's now gone to bed, so single Mum time again. Can current OH's be KH's too?

Most definitely! You are working so hard - shame it doesn't seem to be appreciated at the moment. Hope your weekend gets better.

[STRIKE]WM, TD and DW[/STRIKE] done some, but more tomorrow
[STRIKE]buy anniv card for DH for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]bully DS1 into finally getting papers done in between showers [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]check dates for two parties DS2 has been invited to[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] send text to friend[/STRIKE]

I've also made a good start on DS2's bedroom. :T If I get my act together tomorrow I should get the decluttering done, if not all of the cleaning. I'll get round to that next time it's on the list. Most of the floor is clear (and hoovered), his desk is empty (the wardrobe was fairly tidy, anyway), and the bookcase has been re-organised. He has even parted with some books he's outgrown. Then DS1 came in and insisted that we keep some of them as he used to love them. Parting with books really doesn't come easy to any of us. After tea we had a quick trip to Mr M's and I've just got a few things left which must be done before bedtime.

    [STRIKE]Put shopping away[/STRIKE]
    straighten the kitchen
[STRIKE]take things evicted from DS2's room downstairs (they're currently cluttering up the tiny landing and I'm worried someone will fall during the night)[/STRIKE] DS1 did that :A
    [STRIKE] update 'big' list[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]make up beds (master bedroom and DS2)[/STRIKE]

If you have some napisan try soaking it over night in that if not try a tea spoon of salt added to the washing powder I always use salt and it works fine.

  • Hello everyone - hope you're all OK - haven't had time to catch up.

Think I'm probably about 3 weeks behind with my Flying schedule - can't seem to fit in even the odd HHC!

Main problem is I'm filling my life up with nice things to do. (Well, I guess that's not really a problem!) Yesterday I went with a friend to the Quilts exhibition at the NEC, which was brilliant. This morning I slept in a bit, then had my shower and cut my hair, then went off to a sewing group I'd been told about. Enjoyable, sat and stitched and nattered, and had lovely chocolate cake and coffee!

Came home for lunch, then got the bus over to see DH in his nursing home. Tomorrow I'll go to see him in the morning, then get the train to London. Staying with DGD1 overnight, as I'm going to a party (whee-hee!!) - an old friend's surprise 70th.

Nearly all the laundry's been done, despite one lot getting soaked several times by torrential rain. My hot spots are not too bad, I've been cooking myself decent meals, and all dishes washed, so not all bad.

Have developed a new hot spot though come to think of it - a woman came from the council on Wed to look at our finances re paying for DH's care, so the spare bed has become a filing cabinet, covered in (very neat) piles of paper. Oh, and I've got a bit of a doordrobe going in my bedroom. It all has to go!

Oh well, there's always next week!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!
