Evening! I went to the cinema this afternoon and since I got in I have been writing lists for Reading and shopping and school work ......... and realised I have a lot to do

carlsberggal - good to hear from you and hugs all round x
valli - love the wishing well and the decorating
My girls seem to manage to drop their food on the floor without my help! Oh, and when I vacuumed the sofa yesterday, I discovered my boys (and I think I know which one!!) had a little stash of treats down the side of the cushion!
welcome to all newbies - take it slowly
congrats to all with new jobs, exam results, etc.
sexymouse - how lovely of you to help your friend; she really should be getting support from the school though.
hellyboo - hugs
The boys seem to have decided to go back into their cage (after 'helping' me on the computer!!) so I'll shut them in and let the girls out."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Evening all
My internet was on the blink last night and the laptop has been off all day, so I've just caught up with the thread. Tidied and hoovered stairs and tiny landings yesterday before taking DS2 out for an hour in the afternoon. Today I had an hour outside before going out with DS2 and DH to garden centre in Wakefield. Spend quite a bit of money on bulbs, as we haven't had any so far. When we got back and I'd sorted tea, the weather changed and I couldn't get back out. Hoping for dry weather again tomorrow.
I think I'm coming down with something, as I'm permanently tired, no matter how much I sleep. Also can't stop sneezing.carlsberggal wrote: »Sorry it was a ‘me me me’ post again. Heads a shed and can’t remember much of the skim read I did. Love and hugs all round for those that need or want them xx
Sounds like you could do with a hug or two, yourself. 'Coping' vibes are on their way to you for all you have going on.
Congratulations/hugs for everyone who's had A-level results today. I'm getting butterflies in my stomach just thinking about next Tuesday (DS1 and my German class
).
I'm sure I'm forgetting lots, but that's it for the moment. I think I will head for bed. xxx0 -
Invisible Cabbage: Thanks for that!:rotfl: :rotfl:Unfortunately the advice was too late this time...but it made me laugh anyway - and I will certainly bear it in mind for next time! :rotfl:Mammy to 3 gorgeous children.

you must be in on your own then GB;)
:p:p
It is thanks... how about you? I've finally moved mine outhope it's going well with OH
. He wasn't supposed to move in here, but somehow it happened briefly while he was trying to find a flat. It'll be good for him to live on his own and learn how much hard work is involved in doing everything for himself, but I do miss him. It is also important that he has somewhere that his kids can visit. He's off with his oldest at the moment - exploring the south coast in his parents ancient campervan. Hopefully they'll survive 5 days together. He's starting to realise that his relationship with his boys will be very different now the time he spends with them is focussed on them, rather than just being in the same house, doing their own thing. I hope it'll be better, but it's going to be hard work for him working out how to do this. He's got both of them from next Wednesday to Monday, and they'll be staying with him, so it'll be a real revelation for him! I've made him meal plan, but as I'm not going to be around (until the issues with the contact arrangements are sorted out I don't think I should meet them), it'll be interesting to see how he copes.
And before anyone says anything, the separation and issues with his ex and contact are nothing to do with me. Although obviously I have to deal with them... And I'm hoping that I can take advantage of flylady wisdom and experience to help him do a better job than some of the KHs you lot have to deal with. He's trying very hard, and is prepared to listen to anyone who has experience of similar situations.
Anyway, I guess I need to take advantage of his absence to get some work, flying and sleeping done
I'm off on another cake decorating course on Saturday too (oh... and I might be meeting up with Rach if she's up to it... I guess I'd better get in touch to confirm arrangements!) 0 -
Ooh - my thanks button has worked randomly - and now it isn't! Sorry - and thanks all round! XMammy to 3 gorgeous children.

Just water and a sponge.. takes ages but anything else is likely to stain just as bad.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

there's a lot to be said for not having your OH under the same roof. In my case after 6 years of being in charge I really do think it would be hard to be with someone 24/7. I was pulled between exOH and the kids when we were together anyway...(his problem, IMO, not mine) and I would have massive difficulties in relinquishing my 'power' now. And you are right, your new OH needs to spend some 1-1 time with his kids anyway, as they sort out THEIR new relationship - you're an extra in HIS life, not theirs IYSWIM. They also need to be 'comforatble' and feel they are still a priority. And I am looking at this having been the child in this set up by the way.
And staying out of the limelight until agreements/arrangement have been thrashed out and put into place is probably best.
And I also beleive that people should have a 'break' between relationships anyway, not go from one person to another.
Piggers - look away NOW or have a bucket handy;)
OH said to me he isn't just interested in me for just my body BTW
I looked at him all innocently, put on a disappointed expression and told him that was just what I wanted;)
