Exactamudo! For me all that changes is the card I use at the service till and the logo on statement that comes through the post.

Other than that, there is money to be made! :)

The online banking helpdesk is in the UK, but telephone banking is in a foreign country.

You need to check your facts first before posting.

First-line Online Banking is in India. Second-line is in Coventry.

Telephone Banking is based in Liverpool, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Mumbai and Noida.
  • thats not money saving its money making! great how there's so much money to be made out of the banks pockets!
  • Hi,

just to say my experience with First Direct is not 100% happy. I've posted it on the bank customer service thread - here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=36735923&postcount=8 if anyone is interested!

Hope its helpful in some way...

  • I wasn't happy with First Direct either. They gave me a small overdraft facility that I didn't ask for, then a few months later attempted to charge me a fee for having the unused facility. Very sneaky. It was almost 20 years ago but I have a long memory!
  • Coutts & Co is my Favourite bank, however I cannot afford to bank there.. but I like there website :D How sad is that.

I like them all, I think the bank staff in all the high street branches are far underpaid and unappreciated for what they do and sometimes what they have to put up with.

Natwest. 25 Years. They don't bother me, I don't bother them.

Great on-line portal; I've not been in a branch for... well 25 years.

I don't use them for saving/mortgage etc, but for general banking they are easy peasy.

First Direct :) - by far the best bank I've ever been with and they paid me to join them.
