Now you can see why I suggested the Factory Restore(not the same as System Restore). So we would know, without having to check, that all is as it should be.

Sorry but it must be me! I have done exactly as the two posts have requested and the whole log will not highlight.

Used ctrl &a and then Donnies suggestion but only able to get one line highlighted.

Is it possible that the ctrl button is not working?

Meaning that I will now have to put my photos and videos onto discs. Will do that later today.
    Thanks again for help.

Open the HJT file in Notepad, Move your cursor to Edit at the top then down to Select All. Then Edit again followed by Copy and then Paste into your reply on here.

As I've suggested, do the Factory Restore. Then get rid of the unwanted rubbish that Toshiba bundles with the laptop.

Donnie, I'm sure you are 100% correct. It's just such a drastic (to me) move.
If I wipe the HD clean (I assume that is what I will be doing), I will lose all the programs on the Laptop. Is it not easier (for a coward) to just delete the unwanted rubbish?

OK, I confess! I bought it for GDS but I like it so much that we share it (he lives with me). I do have a job getting onto it but I have put my holiday videos and photos on there. I was unable to play my HD home video on my desktop but they play superbly on the lappie.
