    Hi Mardatha,

No you shouldn't freeze it again as it's already been frozen cooked. I don't see why you couldn't stir some creme fraiche through it if you want to.

I'll add this thread to the main one on quorn mince later as your questions may be helpful to others.

  • i think its quite expensive, its cheaper to buy dried soya mince, which only needs boiling water poured on it for 1 minute before using. they are both a bit like breadcrumbs/dust though. the best vege mince i've had is the frozen real eat which is a rehydrated soya version. they all give you gas though for hours afterwards. i dont think the human body is used to digesting processed soya products??

ok thanks all.I got it to mix through ordinary mince and make it go further. Then I madly froze it all in one tub, so I couldn't split it and there's tons of it ! I might try and hide part deux in a cottage pie tomorrow.... :)
  • I've used quorn since it first came out and often cook meals like chilli ect. and then refreeze them.No one's ever been ill and we've done this countless times.
It'll be fine honestly, just follow the usual reheat rules you would for anything else out the freezer.

I've done it lots of times too, usually a big batch of chilli which I freeze in portions and reheat.
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Could you not put it in the fridge and use the rest tomorrow? Even if it's frozen together in a big lump you can hack half off.

I will get more of it, but use it to stretch ordinary mince a wee bit further.
